Metal Gear Solid online beta

I'm very happy... my MGS disc and beta code arrived this afternoon. Perfect timing, as I am getting a new HDMI cable for my PS3 tomorrow, then I can hop online and enter my code for the beta! Can't wait!

I am downloading the beta right now, never played a recent MGS game so I am excited and pessimistic at the same time.

When I downloaded the game, I got to the main menu and it gave me the option to either start the game or to watch a trailer.

Not expecting it to work (beta hasn't yet started) I chose to start the game and got a network error and it says to quite the game start it again.

Just to get some worth out of the game, I watched the trailer. Honest to god, it looks like a PS2 game, the physics are so old it's unbelievable.

I know I haven't played the "demo" of MGS Online yet, but I highly doubt it will make me want to buy MGS4 when it comes out.

I downloaded it yesterday, and the update took about 4 hours.

People in Europe all get to download it off the store, and from what I have heard, their's didn't have to update. >_>

Anyways, I just need a Konami ID and I am good to go for the 21st....but the Konami ID website has been broken since 2 days ago.

I downloaded it in about 30 minutes (fastest downloaded game ever for me) and it never had to update.

It says it is version 1.0 on the main menu and on game information. What version is yours Zero?

Yeah same for me. Hopefully the stupid website will be back pretty soon.

I'm just not getting this.

Europe get the beta without pre-ordering the game, but do we need a key also?

The only reason I ask is because I got an e-mail from IGN UK yesterday saying IGN members get first shot at getting a key. I didn't think you needed one.
