My favorite FF was VII, It was actually the first one I played. I never payed attention to FF until I was in Junior High. I've played the old ones since and out of them all I only really liked VI. Oh and I agree X-2 sucks, I gave up playing that crap after a few min.

There is a plethora of things wrong witht he guy who thinks FF12 is his favorite FF hands down. there were soooooo many things wrong with that game, i could go on for hours. Im just going to comment on three things.

1) lack of character/personality of ALL characters
2) a broken world that you dont get to explore, but travel to via menu (booring)
3) recycled combat system from FF11 which works fine, but doesnt feel like FF and seems like they are trying to appeal to non-Rpg'ers, or MMORPG'ers, or more casual "i dont like turned based RPG" people, which sucks for the rest of us loyal fans who do like turned based RPGs.

Those are my main critisizms of the game. Even tho i played through it and was alright, I was more happy playing the more conventional lost odyssey and Persona 3. God whyt he **** are these types of rpgs getting so rare(rhetorical question)

And just because you have problems with FFXII doesn't mean that everyone else should have the same problems with the game.

No, he doesnt have to have the same problems with it than me,but really though those are some of the main critisizms with the game period. Ive read lots of reviews and talked about it with other FF geeks and normal ppl alike, in all types of forums, and lots of people have similar or the same complaints. I just thought the "hands down" comment was alittle exaggerated.

The battle system is debatable, since ive noticed people were 50/50 on that, but the main critisizm by reviewers and fans alike, were the vagrant story team doing the characters. they are drab, they are boring, as well as there not being enough characters to begin with. Its almost like each character is a shell(besides thier dull back stories,or lack therof) and you just pick your favoirte one, buy up all the abilities and give em your favorite weapon and magic, which generally, is not like FF at all, and is not a welcome change. I just hope thirteen is alittle more solid.

Going throughout the game i was waiting for time in the game where Vaan would become intresting, or where Penelo would have some type of personality other than being Vaans Friend. Although this is not the worst job story wise, there are its ups and downs.

FF IX is my favourite FF because of the music, cutscenes and the plot/story.

Vivi is a legendary and iconic character!

ffx-2 is my GF's favourite FF and why? Its coz it is aimed at girls!

ff10 was legendary and epic story, very emotional and challenging, lots to do. It rivals ff9 for favourite story.

Never liked ff7 and 8...

FF12- I was put off by the leveling system as all you end up doing is picking a favourite character and leveling them up. Being able to make all your characters BLM or WHM or Fighters etc, is just bizzare.

I loved the backdrop, the scenery, archtecture and political strife but the gameplay was lacking.

i fear for the FF empire, the last like 3 or 4 games it has put out BLEW!!!

I firmly believe that each FF had it's own good things....some more than others but good things nonetheless......did anyone else get caught up in finding the cards in 8 more than paying attention to the story? -points at himself- guilty! I think 7 stomped any competition in '95 and FF hasn't come out with anything that can top or match it and b4 that i think FFIV was phenomenal. Best Storyline ever, but thats just my opinion.
