The only FF that I didn't have the motivation to play. I just didn't like it.

I'm sorry, but Final Fantasy X-2 is horrible. I love love Final Fantasy, especially VIII and XII. The sequel to Final Fantasy X was something else. I own it though, just because it's part of the franchise.

You're right. My brother bought it and I saw him play it and had no reason to start playing. I just didn't like it. The only reason I would've played it would be to see what happens to Tidus.
Good luck playing FFXII. It had its moments of fun, but had a lot of frustrating moments as well. I use to like that even if your characters were weak, if you had a good strategy you could still beat a high level monster or boss.
FFXII sort of forces you to level up and I hate focusing on leveling up through the first playthrough. I want to just see the plot unfold my first time playing, then after that I play a second time and worry about leveling up and side-quest and the lot.
I have all the final fantasy games EVER released in US. from nintendo to PS2. my favorite of all is FFVI thats what got me into the game. Eversince FF3 on SNES I fell in love with the music selction. Now that I've completed my collection until 13 comes out I buying all the OST. but the FF I'm into RIGHT now is Final Fantasy XI. Because of the different world and interactions with other people in the community.

have you played the FF games of DS? My friend was playing the one where it continues the storyline of FFXII. Its pretty different and has a good level of difficultly to it. Theres like one or two more for the DS too. Also FF tactics on the PSP has some cool additions like Balthier and some new classes.
I was the lame child of FFIV Kain Cecil Rose and all of them i got hooked when i was like 7 and can't stop playing them the newer FF titles (XII and crystal chronicles and all that junk) i think take away from the franchise...the characters are so underdeveloped. They lack distinctive characteristics and the look similar to each other. Unlike FFVII where everyone looked alot different from each other and had completely unique personalities.
I love Final Fantasy games. I haven't played number IV, or finished Final Fantasy Tactics. Of course, my favorite is and probably always will be number VII. I'm thinking about trying to get another PS2 so I can play the older Final Fantasy games again.
