Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s
I hadn't seen any topics regarding this and was sort of surprised considering how many people I know here at our forums that play the guitar hero series. It comes out in exactly two weeks, 14 hours and two minutes from now and I for one am fairly excited. Anybody else planning on getting it?

Only if it works on a PS3... my boss bought GH2 not too long ago (with the correct USB adapter) and claimed that one of the buttons (green one, I believe) didn't work when he played it on PS3. Luckily, his son still has a PS2, so he just plays GH2 on that.

As for me, all of my PS2 stuff was traded in long ago...

My boss preordered a copy of the (what I call) "I love the 80s" Guitar Hero game... I can always go over to his house to play the game once it's delivered to him from EB Games, via Next Day Air shipping.

But anywho, my version is already reserved so all I have to do now is wait. I like guitar hero games because they make your mind and hands work fast. The concept is straight foward but pulling it off isn't which is what makes it a cool game.

Those are two different games actually. Guitar Hero 3 comes out in November and this game comes out this month.

Yea, but that topic went from discussing Guitar Hero 3 to Rocks the 80's.

I'm reserving a copy of this as soon as I can. I don't care if the music may be crappy... it's still Guitar Hero.

I've got it pre-ordered and I'm pretty excited about it. Haven't played much GH lately though. Rock the 80s looks like it'll be pretty good.

Yea I just came back from pre-ordering both Rocks the 80's and Guitar Hero 3. I'm so stoked to play "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister.

..... I can not even comment on this... this game just (sigh) brings the suck.... IMO it is for people who cannot play a real guitar

Oh yeah, and SOCOM is for people who can't make it in the real SEALs. It's a video game, dude, not an alternative way to play the guitar.

My friend is amazing at playing a real guitar and he still plays Guitar Hero for fun. Use your common sense.
