I picked up my copy and although the game is fun they definitely rip you off with the $50 price tag. There's hardly any editions to the game except the obvious 30 songs and new looks to only six of the characters on GH2. I had a $30 gift card to gamestop so I didn't care, but honestly I wouldn't get it.

Ok nevermind. I guess the idiot that works at GameStop told me it came out July 27th. I just picked it up. Haven't played it yet though.

Sorry for the double-post...

Well I think this game is more of an "expansion" than a whole new title. Why would they change any of the interfaces or features? That's what Guitar Hero III is for. Why change things now with a smaller title and then change things yet again on the larger title?

I just played a few songs. It's not bad. I think it's just harder to be appealed by people of my age because they didn't grow up in this era of music as it happened.

Well then you should eb able to say the same for a lot of the songs in Guitar Hero 1 and 2 because a lot of those are also some pretty old songs but you still jammed to them.

The Rock the 80's song track isn't as well known is what I think is the problem.

I was around when some of those songs were made. The other ones I know from their popularity.

That's what I meant by how the people who didn't grow up with the music don't know it very well. The few songs that I know, I either heard on GTA Vice City, or the radio.

Well, you should have been born sooner... That's my only solution.

Haha well I listen to alot of "classic" rock. I went through all the songs on Rocks the 80's and I recognize almost all of them. I guess I just didn't know their titles.
