Fable 2

I just realized there is no Fable 2 discussion, and seeing how a another new trailer just came out I figured why not. I loved Fable and didn't bother with Lost Chapters but had hours of fun with the game.
Fable 2 is heavily based on them getting you to feel emotions while gaming. The new first "diary entry" trailer that just came out was based on the emotion of love. It had things about the pet dog you have from the older trailer, and talked about how this isn't any old RPG. If you liked Fable and realize how great Fable 2 is gonna be, let's discuss ;).

I can't wait for Fable 2. I've been watching the developer diaries over live and it's looking good. I like the idea of the dog and the online co-op. Hopefully the one button combat isn't too shallow.

Hmm. I quite liked Fable. But it was absolutely nothing like what was promised. It was a good game, and if it was just released as a decent RPG then it would have been fine, but there was so much that was promised that was just not delivered upon, it was a little disappointing. I hope Fable 2 doesn't fall into the same trap. I'd rather have a game with no promises and be impressed with it, than the same game which doesn't deliver on ridiculous promises and is therefore a little disappointing.

Overall though, Fable = good, hopefully Fable 2 = good too.

I thought it was designed really good. The only disappointing thing was that after two days I had already beat it. (I played it like a mother****er over the summer)

According to what I just saw on X-Play, there is going to be a "Swinger" achievement for Fable 2, which is supposedly unlocked for participating in an orgy.

I'm kind of shocked to hear that they might be getting away with something so... "racy".

I just barely read something about that too. Getting an achievement for being apart of an orgy... responsibly? I guess they are going for the any publicity is good publicity direction.

Yeah, I'm gonna enjoy Fable 2, despite the fact that I wasn't able to play the first one very often (my friend had an xBox and I didn't at the time, so yeah...)

but when I did get to play it it was great, and I can only assume the second one will be better. But I haven't seen any trailers of it yet, I'll go look it up soon.

The free pub games for pre-ordering it is a nice touch. Also, I may or may not have accumulated 40000 gold debt, and for those who dont know, it transfers over to the actual game. I got a lot of the achievements though, and afterward I deleted the memory off the Xbox. Its a quick solution to that problem if anyone else has it.

I just pre ordered my copy of the Limited Edition, it looks amazing, i think the LE comes with a plushie :D

From what I've just heard on other sites, Fable 2 will only have single player and local co-op playable on day one of the game's release. Developers have said that "don't worry, it (online co-op) is definitely still coming... as you are playing through the game, you will still be able to see your friends as glowing orbs as well as chat and trade with them. So again, don't think this is going to be a decade long wait. I suggest you do what we're going to do - go play some more pub games and get a ton of gold to buy cool stuff as you start the single player or local co-op game."

Now I could have sworn that I heard the game was "ready ready ready" at E3...

the first was great for its time but fable2 looks amazing, he learned from fable and now you can make children and stuff!

I hope that isnt as tacky as it sounds, I really loved Fable, spent hours playing and replaying it and I'm looking forwards to Fable2 but a ' swinger ' achievement for getting into an orgy?
......kinda shatters my illusions about a great game.

remember when they were syaing that people who used the pub games glitch were in for a special surprise when they played they game, then they patched it? im still wondering if i should delete my save on that or just keep it and go with the flow?

This is the game that will finally make me breakdown and get a 360...at some point.

For now I will just continue playing the lost chapters for the umpteenth time.
