Rep Power: 4 | It's alright. But, it's not very challenging. Once you get the right weapons and have leveled up your stuff enough, the only things that are still challenging are Trolls, and that's only because you can only hurt them by shooting those little thingies on their body. There aren't many weapons (or weapon classes), the choice of clothes is limited, and there's not a lot too choose from in the way of hair (there's a lot, but not a lot; if you know what I mean). Hell, the final boss (not Lucien, the Greater Shard) isn't too hard. While I'm thinking of the enemies, there aren't really that many. You got your bandits, Hobbes, Balverines, Shard soldiers, Hollow Men, Trolls (though they're more of a boss-type), Banshees (they're boss-types as well), and that's about it (not counting quest-specific enemies like Shadows). Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game. But, it's not very long and there's not much else to do after you complete the main story. Sure, you can buy all the houses and stores and do all the other optional s**t, but there's not much motivation to do so. I haven't tried the online (and more than likely never will), but it seems like it would be best to play with a friend, not with total strangers. Overall, I think I'd give Fable II a 7.8. ______________________

You can get it by buying an expensive book (can't remember which one) or by earning it somehow. Use the new expression on your victim and then sleep in a bed. Viola, instant smut. |

I finished the main story line last night. God....am I pissed off. I chose "the needs of the many" and didn't get my dog back. So I can't 100% the game. There's no way I can be bothered to start again to to do the side quests...
I'll agree with a comment made before, the enemies aren't very varied, neither are the clothes or hair. But it was a laugh while I was playing it and the story was pretty dramatic. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
You can get the co-op acheivements locally, just sign in another controller and get someone else to perform an expression at the same time as you. With the combat one you just need to kill an enemy I think, that's how I got it.
Roll on Fallout 3 tomorrow, that should take me nicely to mirrors edge and shaun white. ______________________ |XBL BL4RG14N T04ST| |

Other than that, you need to have the "Come back to my place" expression (in "Flirty"), which you can get from a book, and I'm pretty sure (but not positively, insanely sure) that you can earn it if you push yourself towards one end of the Corrupt/Pure spectrum. I think it's Corrupt ('cuz extramarital sex is considered a bad thing by a lot of people). Also, some people won't have sex with you if they don't like you (yes, whores do have some standards), so if you're extremely evil and/or corrupt and people find it all too easy to hate you, it may take some public humiliation, er, I mean fun behavior (like dancing or playing music; watch out though, playing music gives you "Good" points) to make them like you enough to let you pay for sex.
EDIT: Funny, it censors wh o re, but not whores. ______________________

Rep Power: 0 | I reserved this sucker about a month before it's release and about crapped my pants when I got it. However it did lack of a Hobbe Figurine which sucked but didn't really phase me. I played it all Fall Break and wasted 5 days of my life on that game. To be honest, it kind of let me down.
The plot is short. If you don't do any side quests and go straight through the plot, it is only about 3 hours. Even doing the side quests it still leaves you with that 'lacking' feeling. You don't get any armor, which isn't that big of a deal but still a bummer, since it's 500 years into the future that would make sense to not have armor, but your clothes offer you no protection what so ever. Might as well fight in your underwear. And for the clothes, it seems like they spent most of their time thinking of female clothes instead of male which I guess kinda sucks. As for the demon doors there are only about 9 and they are all very easy to open and don't really give you anything great besides a few master weapons that can't even hold auguments. And there are only 3 towns to go to. As for the 50th silver key chest, be prepared to get VERY angry. As well as the very end of the game.
Other then that, the world of Albion is much bigger and there is much to explore. Having guns and a dog is rather schanzzy and both come in handy. The graphics are beautiful and having a family and job is fun. (However I feel like this is where Lionhead put most of their attention on) Sure it lacks of a few things, all games do, but I feel like Fable is missing alot of 'FABLE' things. My friends and I at school are always talking about and we all love it very much but complain about it at the same time. Someone else might find it perfect, but it kind of dissapoints me when I go back to Fable: Lost Chapters.
I'm a huge Fable fan but the game left me feeling kind of down and lonely. It was very easy to enjoy, however. I just wish they didn't leave out so much stuff. |

I'm a little peeved with the ending too, what the hell? I'm supposed to kill the final boss, dammit! I chose to save my family and dog, but I'll almost certainly play it through again and be evil.
I'm a little confused (OK make that completely confused) and a bit annoyed that there's no armour in the game. I really can't wrap my head around that. Still, it's a fantastic, huge game, and the annoyances are greatly outweighed by the positives. I think I'd give it a 9.
/SPOILER
I'm playing Fallout at the moment which is all kinds of awesome. I've been playing it for about 12 hours now and as far as the main quest goes I've accomplished almost nothing. This is going to be a long game. |

I agree, however, you can kill Lucien, just shoot him before Reaver! lol. Although I was a little disappointed by how short it was, and that the online play TOTALLY SUCKS, I still love it. It's an easy game to enjoy. Sure, it could be better, however, this one screams "Lost Chapters" type installment, so, maybe it will get better?
Also, 1,000,000 Gold to whoever can get me "The Red Dragon" gun. If you don't know how to get it, you have to get first place in the Westcliff Shooting Range.

Another thing that peeved in this game was how hard it was to fine certain weapons.
I have been searching all around the cities and going to the shops and everything, but I cannot for the life of me find a Master Clockwork Rifle anywhere.
Also I feel there was less equipment in this game. I wanted more equipment. I wanted some armor, and some more material.
I mean they give an assassins coat and you can't find the other pieces of the assassins outfit.
And what is the thing about meat.
Meat makes you evil while vegetables make you good, but the funny thing meat gives you more health. WTF!
The game was pretty short, even with the sidequest. I wanted Albion to be way bigger then this.
But the game is gorgeous, the music is perfect, and the story I actually liked it and. SPOILER= I'll spill my most embarrassing moment, this game brought the woman out of my dried up emotions, when my dog protected me from being shot I cried. I cried like a baby, I was so sad my dog died. SPOILER
Then when I had to make the decision of sacrifice or love I began to cry to. Those were some heavy decisions man.
I had to much empathy in that game the first time around.
But you know a few questions rose up in my mind, What does Theresa want with the Spire? Is Theresa your sister from the last game, how did she survive those many years?
Another problem, I know I'm ranting, they don't expand on the evil part a bit. The hero don't say anything in the cuts scenes or anything about your evil deeds. They treat you like if you were still a hero or something. And that just seems how I do I put, not very human like.
Now I think I'm done with my rant.
I still love this game with all my heart, it just had less then what I had expected.
The Banshees are freaking awesome though and the Balverines had a nice make over. |

Rep Power: 19 | Well... I just rented a copy of Fable 2 along with Terminator Salvation (on PS3) because of a two game rental special they offered... seeing as how Punch Out wasn't even stocked yet, and their only copy of Velvet Assassin was checked out.
Nice stocking levels, video store. FU!
Guess I just want to see what all the hub-ub is about before I devote lots of time to inFAMOUS once Tuesday rolls around. Who knows, with the recent expansions to the game and its price drop, I might pickup the game if I really, really like it. ______________________ Introduce a little anarchy, you upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos! |
