I have to agree with Odin here when it comes to the Mammoth Tank vs. Avatar. One Avatar cannot take out a Mammoth Tank, unless it is fully upgraded (Commandeer on Attack Bike, Flame Tank, Stealth Tank, and Beam Cannon), but even then it might not win. And the Mammoth technically isn't even the GDI's advanced vehicle, that's the Juggernaut (advanced vehicles are reclaimable by way of Engineer entering them). I think it is a good thing that all air units are pretty screwed when it comes to the Firehawk equiped with AAMs (Air-to-Air Missiles). That way, you can actually stand a chance against a large air campaign launched against your base if you are GDI, which in my opinion have the best Anti-Air defenses.
Now, here's a fun thing to do. Go to one of the enemy's buildings (preferably their last one, because this takes a while) and place mines (GDI and Scrin, the latter of which must capture a GDI War Factory to get mines, or just capture a Hand of Nod and do as the Nod)or Fanatics all around it. Now, it looks coolest if you use the Ion Cannon on mines around the building, but the Rift Generator is allright; and the Nod have to use Fanatics, because the Nuclear Missile will cover the mines's explosions. Anywho, go ahead and use whatever superweapon you posses to destroy the mines/Fanatics along with the building. Now, for a little explanation of what will happen. For the Ion Cannon (GDI), the explosions will go from the outer perimeter towards the building, and then any strays will be destroyed when it finally fires the main cannon. The Rift Generator (Scrin) just blows them all up at once, but it's pretty cool to see. As for the Nuclear Missile (Nod), if you use mines, their explosion will be blocked by the Nuke, but if you use Fanatics, you can see them, and it looks allright. I prefer the GDI when it comes to doing this, but hey, to each his own, right?
