Played this game at my friends house 2 days ago. Without a doubt this is replacing something on my Christmas list.

I finally got to finishing my first run of Mass Effect last night. I was surprised at how easy the final bosses were, but I figured I just pwn that hard.
This game is definitely one of the greatest of 2007. I loved it so much, that I instantly started a new game (side note: when doing this, if you select the same ID instead of creating a new character, you start the game over with all the XP, money & equipment that you finished it with).
This game's really opened my eyes to how crucial it is for a good single player game to have a strong story with matching writing and acting. Mass Effect may have the old "gotta save the world from the power hungry mad man" at root of it's plot, but damn does it do it well.
I only hope Mass Effect 2 is on its way, and will at least include online co-op.

It's supposed to be the 1st of a 3 part story, if the first game turned out to be a hit. I think it was.

Well, if you would have played it on veteran the first time around it wouldn't be so easy.
Even though on veteran it still is pretty easy as long as you don't suck at shooters.

I'll definitely agree with you on this statement... it is, without a doubt, one of 2007's best games... on any of the three consoles.
I'm also looking forward to playing the game a second time through... this time, I plan on being on the renegade side of things. Being a bad guy should be much more fun, instead of being a squeaky clean good guy.

That's the same thing I did. I was nice the first run-through and am going to try renegade the second time. I haven't really found the time to get on it again though. Once I beat the game I started another game but I haven't played it since.

I have a question. When you beat it the first go around, and you use your same character, are the enemies more difficult to match with your level or are they the same?
When I beat the game, I'll play the second time through with the same guy but just till I get to level 60 for the achievement. I want to start over as an adept.

I've noticed no difference.

What I'm saying is, for example, your first enemies are skill level one geths. When you beat the game and start over with your level 50 character, are those same first enemies still level one or are they upgraded to match your skill level?

I've noticed no difference.
Seriously. I could be wrong, but I plowed right through the game, up to when you first go to the Citadel. I've noticed no differences so far, aside from you having all of your currency, xp, weapons, gear, abilities, alien boning skills, etc from the previous game.
