Ultimate MK3 (XBLA)

For those that haven't noticed my banner sig, the Ultimate MK3 game is available for download over Xbox Live.

Old school fans should definitely give this game a try... the achievement point allocation is pretty humorous as well... Midway, in their normal humorous way, made a few of the point totals odd numbers... but it all comes out to a (mormal) 200 point total for an XBLA game.

I need to get some more practice in doing some of the fatalities/babalities/friendships before I take my game online... been a LONG time since I last played Ultimate MK3.

The Online play is really super laggy. I would wait until they get the patch out for this game. I have also noticed a few bugs in the game. From what I understand, this game was not suspose to be released until Nov. but I guess since the cat was let out of the bag, they are going to keep it up.

Same thing that I heard... I also heard that there will be a patch out for this game ASAP. So until then, I guess I will practice people's fatalities...

I think the single player is every bit as good as the old school arcade version.

Has anyone around here heard about any problems starting a two player game on the same 360 console? For the life of me last night, I couldn't get my second controller "linked" to the UMK3 game... so for the hell of it, I ran my copy of SFII Hyper Fighting to see if it was a problem with my controller, but I had no trouble at all starting a two player game at that time.

My wife wanted to play Mortal Kombat last night, but I was unable to get it started. I'm thinking that the (soon-to-be-released) patch might take care of this connectivity "issue".

Try redownloading the game. I had no problem what so ever getting my second player controler to work with MK3...

I suppose I can give this a try... thanks for the advice, mikey.

Do you also happen to know offhand if I re-download UMK3, will it just completely overwrite the "older" file? I'm fairly certain that I will not be charged for the additional download, as well.
