I played the demo for this new Tony Hawk Project 8 game that was also on the January 2007 OXM disc... to be honest, I thought it was one of the better TH games that I've played in a loooooong time.
(Going back to the days when I played them on Dreamcast!)
Playing it made me wish that I was just as good at playing it as my friend SuperNoob is... that guy was pure pwnage on any of the TH games.

i was given this game as an early birthday present today. i've played it for about an hour and so far my opinion is that anyone claiming these graphics are anywhere near "next gen" or "amazing" should be hit in the face with deck.
the graphics for the ps2 thps games were better than this.
the gameplay feels like every other th game so far, nothing revolutionary or really innovative. i'm not real impressed with the "nail the trick" mode either.
so far the most impressive part of the game is the motion capture. the movement seems alot more fluid than in previous games.
i'll be trading it in sometime this week probably.

It looked like a next gen game on my HDTV... and I'd hardly go as far as to say it looks worse than a PS2 game. That's just insane.

Yeah, he was also in our SOCOM clan, but his skills were MUCH better in the Tony Hawk games. He won some kind of tournament at the BoomBoomHuckJam show... supposedly, he was called the #1 player in Illinois (or something like that).
I wish that I could play the game half as good as he does!

Just played the demo of this and I love it. Nail the trick is amazing IMO and graphically the game is very good. The demo is very good. I think I will be picking this game up...or vegas....

The graphics on this game are only good on 360 and PS3. I have played both of them and the PS2 one, and the PS2 graphics are honestly so horrible compared to the others. Just wow.
