The Madden curse IS real. It happens EVERY year yet people still don't believe it.

Just look at Carson Palmer last year, if he had been on the cover of Madden everyone would have blamed the Bengals loss on the "Madded Curse". It's so stupid. I'm sure eventually they'll be a streak of 3-4 years where no one on the cover will get hurt, and I hope it happens just to shut up this curse talk.

While it's not reasonable to believe in curses, you sure have to sit back and consider it more than a mere coincidence. Even a magazine like Sports Illustrated has cover athlete "curses" going around... then you have the Chicago Cubs... etc, etc.

This reminds me of the Discovery Channel special where Homo Erectus saw a deer/gazelle dying, and his daughter regained conciousness, and automatically thought that breath (life) passed from the deer/gazelle to his daughter.

Only one I can think of off the top of my head from SI is LeBron James, really just because it involves my school. This was a number of years ago when LeBron was a junior in high school I believe. On the cover of SI and he guarenteed a state championship win. Again, I really only know this one because it involves my school. And if anyone would like to take a look into it, click here.

As for the Cubs, at least Chicago has two good teams in the Bears and White Sox.

There are more athletes that received a "hex" from being on the cover of SI other than your "beloved" LeBron James... quite a few athletes, other than the great Michael Jordan, of course.
