You can't actually pass or run the ball. The task thing is extremely annoying, you can't do some small task if you don't do the other ones in order. Cool thing is, you can fire your staff and such. My dad got into more than me though...

Well... as I was returning my rented Xbox game a few hours ago, I asked the local Blockbuster employee when NFL Head Coach was going to be available for rent at their store, and I was told that it'd be on their shelves tomorrow.

Looks like I know where I have to stop off on my way home from work tomorrow afternoon...

Finally... I got my hands on a copy of this game a few days ago.

Definitely a nice break from the "usual" football action that would be found in a video game.

Personally, I really enjoyed firing a few of the coaches from the 49ers coaching staff on one of my first days on the job.

Last time that I played, I was a few days away from the 2006 NFL draft... I'll post more about my game later on.

I give this game a thumbs up.

So, you play as the coach, yeah. But what determines how good your team is? How good you coach?

The skill of your offensive & defensive coordinators & positional coaches (QB coach, WR coach, etc etc.) determines how good your team is. You have to build up trust with all of your coaches... the more they trust you, the more they will want to impress you.

So are you the coach or the GM? Do you get to pick your players or not?

Technically, you play both roles... head coach and GM. Yes... you pick the players. You pick the coaches. You pick the Free Agents. You pick the Restricted Free Agents. You pick the plays.

Essentially, you do everything to get your team up & running.
