The new control setup took me like 3 to 5 minutes to get used to, but after that point it was smooth sailing. Personally, I like it much better than last year's controls... it's much easier to string together a "combo" of attacks with the way THQ made it for SvR 2007.

^^^BUMP^^^

I completed the (first) season mode in SvR 2007 over the extended weekend... and I must admit, it was pretty damn fun!

The hilarity even continued into my second season... I don't want to ruin it for people (like BAMF, maybe) that are playing through the first season. I'll just say for the record that it's funny!

I'm going on to the Royal Rumble of season 1. I'm pretty sure I'm close to done. I have the RR and No Way Out left I think.

You pulled off the Shane-O-Mac style flying elbow yet Creep?

If you're already in the Smackdown storyline (I started with the Raw story, because I chose Triple H as my fighter), then you are indeed close to finishing your first season... but trust me, try going further after the first season - it gets funny in a hurry!

I've unlocked Shane-O-Mac, but I have yet to purchase him... I figured they would include his flying elbow move... I'd like to try hitting it on someone from the scaffolding that's found in the crowd area. hahaha!

The only person that I have left to unlock is Stone Cold Steve Austin... then I think I'll unlock the achievement for getting all of the playable WWE Legends. Unless of course, you need to purchase them afterward... if that's the case, then I need to start saving my WWE "cash" for it.

Not quite what I meant by the "elbow". Store a special then go outside and tear an announce table apart. then throw our opponent into it with a strong irish whip. Look at him as he lays there and hit the special button when prompted.

Do you have to do this move with Shane-O-Mac? Or will any fighter do the move?

If any fighter is able to do this elbow, I'll give it a try when I get home... if you need to use Shane-O-Mac to do the elbow, I'll have to purchase him first.

Anyone and everyone can do it. It's just Shane-O-Mac style. You'll see what I mean when you do it.

I completely forgot to try performing this move last night when I was playing... my bad. I'll be sure to try it this afternoon, when I get home from work at 2pm CST.

On a side note, I had to fight in the six man "Elimination Chamber" match for the WWE Championship... came down to Triple H and Shawn Michaels at the very end. Of course, Triple H (me) emerged victorious... I just found it to be slightly depressing that (I think) you can't play an "Elimination Chamber" match online.

But then again, there's always the option of fighting in a "Money in the Bank" match... which I think is damn near impossible to win. I tried it last night, and failed twice... wound up being my 7th and 8th loss on my record...

Glad to see that I finally have a grasp on a normal ladder match, though... the first one that I had to fight in, I had NO CLUE on how to climb the ladder and reach for the belt... I actually needed to consult my instruction manual for the first time.

Forgot to mention this a few days ago, but I finally executed a "Shane-O-Mac" flying elbow during one of my season mode matches the other night.

It was pretty hilarious to see HHH flying off the turnbuckle and performing Shane McMahon's signature move!

This was the very same match that I decided to job against JBL for the World Heavyweight title at one of the pay-per-views... turned out to be a good move, because it took me into a new storyline of the season mode... I need to win the damn Royal Rumble trophy, so I can have all of the WWE Legends unlocked - and get that achievement, too!

I also noticed that I got a fair amount of cash & experience with my "loss"... kinda weird, I thought.

^^^Double (?) BUMP^^^ LoL

I've been running through the GM Mode of SvR 2007 off and on since this past weekend... let me tell you, it's pretty tough making decisions on who should feud with who, if merchandise should be advertised during your shows, making WWE Diva bikini contests, slander campaigns, cutting interviews, etc. etc.

It's almost gotten to the point of being just like any other sport game's GM Mode... you can cut people from your roster, sign free agents, sign people to contracts, and all that other happy crap.

I have noticed my ratings go up on Raw from the moment that I signed The Rock, and had him beat John Cena for the WWE Championship at a Raw PPV... but then he lost it to Edge a week or two after the PPV, because I accidentally simulated the match.
