I played 3 games last night and had a lot of fun. I am now at 25-1 and on a tear.

I was playing the Diamondbacks last night and won 12-2 (or something like that). Juan Pierre went 5-6 and had 8 steals....yes, 8 steals in one game. I went to the ML record book and I saw his name in there. It is pretty cool. Trying to get some of those records will be impossible. The innings pitched in one game is 26.....NEVER!!!!!

An update on my MLB2K6 season:

I decided to simulate the 15 games that were in between my video game season, and the actual MLB season... well - the AI must not be as good as me, because my Cubs lost 9 of the 15 games that I simulated.

The team was at the end of a three game losing streak up to the Friday, June 2nd night game in St. Louis when I took over again, beating the Cardinals 2-0. Carlos Zambrano pitched eight shutout innings, and Ryan Dempster picked up another save.

In the Saturday, June 3rd game against the Cardinals, the Cubs won 13-0. Dusty Baker was ejected early in the game for arguing a call at first base; which allowed for the AI to make all of the managerial decisions for me... good times. Maddux won "player of the game", after pitching the complete game shutout (4 strikeouts total). Not only that, but he went 3-4 at the plate - with two doubles and a single... Aramis Ramirez had a great game, also going 3-4 at the plate, with a HR and 6 RBIs.

WOW! Good stuff with Maddux and Zambrano. I never seem to get my SPs through 7-8 innings without being gassed.

A 6 RBI game with Ramirez was good to hear. Were you trying to imitate his grand slam in yesterday's game?

I am currently around the May8th game against the Giants. I can not wait to plunk Bonds in the dome with a Wood fastball.

When I turn my game on again, I will jot down some of my team leaders and post them for some comparisons!

I have MLB 06 The Show. I only have a PS2 and a Gamecube I'm gonna trade in. Do you guys think I should buy 2k6 for the PS2?

I think the game is highly addictive for the PS2. I would say it would be worth the "investment". The game can offer you so many things. The commentary tends to be a little off, but besides that, the game is a well put together game!

It is a "well put together game" once you make the slider adjustments that I suggested earlier in this thread.

I agree and disagree with the Creep quote. The game does need to be adjusted, but do what is right for you. Certain slider bars will need to be re-adjusted from time to time. It depends on what type of player you are. I steal all of the time, and love to hit and run, so I turned up the defensive agressiveness for the AI. Good luck with the game!
