Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox/360)

any of you guys that own this for the 360, have you done online play yet? how is it? i have fnr3 for ps2, and online is so slow it's not even funny. you can't even land combos. in regular game, i can get off 3-5 hit combos, and when i go online, by the time i land 1 punch, they can pull guard up and counter me... on top of that, if you get a counter, even w/philly shell defense, you can only get one hit in return before they can block again. when i'm fighting against a friend irl, i can get 2-4 usually. i'm about to get a 360 in another month or so, and i want to get this game for 360 if the online play is just as good as the regular game.

I can't speak about the online mode, having not played this game online. My brother-in-law has nothing but great things to say about the career mode that's found in FNR3.

This game is great. I love the fights that last like 15 rounds. I really like seeing that blood and sweat come flying off of my opponent when I knock him down. The graphics look a little old, but I think that's just because the last game I recently played was Gears of War. Not many games can top that right now. Any way, the fights in here are great. I'm having so much fun in Career mode. Oh! Those hard hits fights are so SWEET!

I agree, its a heck of a game, I just thought it was funny, early on, your fighting in front of like 10 people....reminds of shows this little gym here puts on every once in awhile.

One thing I loved about FNR2 that 3 doesn't have is that you could continue to punch a guy after he got knocked out. If you knocked a guy out against the ropes you could throw in 4-5 uppercuts/hooks and keep him up for a little while longer. It was funny as hell.

I always try to get a one last shot in when you knock them down. I managed to open up a cut above one of my opponent's eyes because of that. He started to fall forward and I caught him with a sick haymaker hook.
