How do you drift without an e-brake?
And how much was the DFP when you bought it? I'm looking online at the stores around here and none of them have the DFP online, just older logitech wheels.

There are many ways to drift without an E-brake. I drift in my truck all of the time and all I have is a parking brake.

One method is, you can take the turn at a high speed until you begin to get oversteer then control your gas and braking along with couter steer all the way through the turn.

Another method is taking a turn at a semi high speed, step on the clutch and let the engine rev then let go of the clutch. The high RPMs will spin your tires sending your backside around and from there, again, you need to control your gas and braking and perform proper counter steering throughout the turn.

I bought the DFP 200$ can but it worth the money. Just check at BestBuy, Futureshop and such...

As for the drift, well there are many way. I use the technique of the drift king (Keiichi Tsuchiya). There's braking, or feint, accel-off, and more...

I like to use the braking technique because I don't like controlling my speed before I get to the corner. So I just use the brake technique to slow me down and get my angle. I find the E-Brake lame to drift with, because it can project you way past the corner.

The E-brake, if you are not careful, can also send you into a massive understeer and stop you completely.

DFP=Steering Wheel?

Drifting is impossible to me. I get lots of hp and ****** tires, and I just spin into a 360. I honestly feel like drifting in real life is 10 trillion times easier than it is on this game. I can drift in my station wagon better than I can on this game..

Marv, what exactly do you do to the car's set-up to drift with ease?

I always choose comfort tires and turn all driving aids off. Is it just impossible with a controller?

I tried drifting with the HKS car with all aids off and comfort tires. I spin through the first four gears and if I turn too hard keeping on the track I spin out.

Drifting in real life is 10 trillion times easier cause I drift my truck all of the time but I wouldn't mind learning on a game cause it's safer from the cops.

Turn all the aids off, and tires are up to you. It's mostly throttle control then anything. You can drift with a dualshock, I do. If you want help with drifting just go here....GT Planet drifting thread, everything you need to know

Mines the same as here, I've been browsing for the past month or so. Just registered couple of days ago.

BTW, Try drifting with MR cars. It's a quite different experience.
