I didn't think it was possible for a game like Madden to actually get worse, but I was SOOOOOO wrong. The AI of the blockers is horrendous. If you're a right tackle you should block the left end, correct. Apparently Madden doesn't think so. He thinks the tackle should run straight into the LG and just forget about the all-world DE who's about to kill my QB. The computer gets way too many picks, while I get my hands on 20 passes and intercept zero. A weak linebacker should not be able to intercept a Brett Favre bullet pass when he's a mere 5 yards away from him. Rarely do I see cpu defensive player out of position, no matter how terrible they are. Awareness is 60? Well, not against me. And punt returns are still a huge waste of time, not unlike last year's Madden. I have a wall of four blockers standing in front of my returner, but does even ONE of them try to block the oncoming defenders? No, not ONE!!!!!!!!! They haven't corrected the biggest flaws in this game for years now, yet I buy it on the day it's released every single year just hoping and praying they have changed one thing for the better. But alas, this game is the same recycled piece of garbage as last year's and the year before, with a few more bells and whistles. Oh, one more thing. If I get called for one more offensive pass interference (and there have been about 40 since I bought the game) without one def. interference being called on the cpu which is shoving me away from the ball, this game is going right out the window.
