Did anyone har about the new nfl contract? To make it short, on EA has the right to official NFL teams and players for videogames, meaning no more espn games, which were a lot better than madden.

I didn't hear about that, except in the EA must die! Thread about EA buying a lot of other companies. Personally, I like EA better, although that doesn't really have anything to do with, well, anything. It is probably the fact that I've always played EA. That and they're based out of Vancouver :P! I don't really have good reasons for liking EA and not ESPN, but I do prefer EA (Easier to spell? :P)

No more ESPN fotball games anymore noo!!! In ESPN there was actually defense to play against unlike Madden where you throw a 50 yard bomb and they'll catch all the time.

EA football games are great, theyre just the damn same every year! Its really aggeravating.... the same damn game every year. AND WHY DONT THEY GET RID OF THE BIG HEADS!!!!

You're right. Sports games are the same year after year. Every few years, they add new things like Dynasty or Career modes, but then it is the same for another few years.... But even adding new modes and features isn't really changing anything. It is just a new way to play the same game. They always have the same... everything else. The controlls, for one are always the same, although that is a good thing, and it is more cosmetic than, and therefore doesn't really support my point...

EA is developing a monopoly, but who can blame them? Anyone, given the chance, would use their wealth to... get more.

My only beef with Madden 2005 is when you go up a level, like from all-pro to all-madden, all of a sudden the computer players suddenly become supermen. I am so sick of Reggie Bush (95 speed) and Xavier Carter (98 speed) getting run down by second tier linebackers from behind. Oh, and that good old Brett Favre bullet pass getting picked off by those same mediocre linebackers in 10 degree weather? With their hands no less? Please. Madden is a great game, but they need to change some things to make it more realistic in terms of cheap garbage like that.

I don't know if they have this,but I wish they had a review option. You know so you can challenge a play. That would be another future option to consider. Ofcourse, the computer is always right

. The same goes for hockey games too. I don't know how many times the computer lets them get away with all kinds of bs plays.

Yea, the game picks and chooses. My beef is with the computer AI on your team. The only way you can actually complete passes, perform blocks, and make tackles is if YOU are controlling it. Thats BS! There is no possible way to take control of 4-5 different guys at the same time, let alone try and perform the play correctly in sync together. Its just impossible. Your teamates screw up time after time, yet if you were controlling their actions you'd win every posession. Increasing the level doesnt mean making your players suck more. Its SO AGGERVATING!!!!

That's also the only problem I have with Madden. The difficulty levels are dumb. There should only be 3: Normal, where the game plays completely based on the ratings of the guys. n00b, where it's easy for all you little n00bs. And hard, where it's just harder. Besides that they just need to improve the AI in general. Like when you send a fast WR on a fly against a slow CB and he doesn't run as fast as he can so the CB catches up. WTF!!! Or how when anyone get's close to your guy he covers up the ball even when you're holding X so he get's caught by slow people.
