Brett Favre has retired from football:

ESPN - Favre tells Packers he's retiring - NFL

I guess now we'll really see what Rodgers is all about. I think there is a huge amount of pressure on Rodgers by coming after the second greatest quarterback of all time (Montana is number one in my book, with Favre very close behind).

Beat me to it Cylon. Just saw it on SC. They're starting to talk now about whether or not he'll come out of retirement by time camp rolls around. If he did, it wouldn't surprise me. If he didn't, it wouldn't surprise me either.

Just won't be the same though knowing I won't be watching Favre this fall.

I think he's seriously serious this time, and thats really sad. He's a living legend, and he has an amazing attitude toward the game. At least he can join the hall of fame now.

I guess all I can say is, thank you Brett for 17 of the best years in football history... I'm not a packer fan, but I'm a huge Favre fan.. can't help but be sad really.

Randell Gay will be leaving New England to play for New Orleans. That's two very good CB the Patriots have lost.

Javon Walker will be playing in Oakland this season. He had some great years in Green Bay until he destroyed his knee. Came back in Denver, but never really got anything going. Hopefully he can get something going in Oakland.

Coming from a Chicago Bears fan, I have nothing but respect for a player like Brett Favre. The NFL needs more players playing with a posative attitude like Brett did, and to truly be playing for the love of the game over anything else. This truly is an end to an NFL era.

Randy Moss resigned with the Patriots for 3 years worth $27 million. There was little doubt that Moss was going to leave the Patriots, but I did see an article earlier in the week stating that Culpepper and him could possibly re-unite on some other team, which I thought was interesting, but unlikely after the season Moss had in New England.
