FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Sources: Giants to trade Shockey to Saints
I was not surprised by this at all. I knew that Shockey would be gone by the beginning of this upcoming season, especially after Boss' performance down the stretch. You could just see Shockey cringing every time the kid made a great play because he knew he job was in jeopardy. In addition, Shockey and the coaching staff rarely saw eye to eye so this trade was a good move for the Giants, and will improve clubhouse chemistry.

Shockey's a great player and the Saints offense just got even scarier with his arrival.

I'm very excited by the move the Skins made. This will add speed that we didn't have with Phillip Daniels. I just hope he decides to play a few more years...

I'm a bit more relieved to see the Giants getting rid of Shockey. If I'm not mistaken, he led all Tight Ends with dropped catches.

The 'skins made a great move, and they'll never regret it.

The Saints just better hope that he can stay healthy. Hopefully, The Saints start the season out like they did the previous one.

Its a sad day in Denver today. Rod Smith is going to announce his retirement. IMO he is one of the greatest non-drafted reciever to play the game. I know many players in the league could learn something from his work ethic. He will be missed around here.

Reports are now going around that Brett Favre told Packers GM Ted Thompson that he plans to report to training camp. Favre also plans to ask for reinstatement as early as today.

Favre expected to submit letter of reinstatement to NFL

His reinstatement is already done. It's basically between the Bucs and The Jets now. Surely, the Packers want Favre to go to an AFC team. I give The Jets the edge being that the Bucs play the Packers in Week 4 or The Buc's 2nd home game. The only way The Packers and The Jets would meet up would be in the Super Bowl and the odds of that happening is nill. With all the press about this down here, we'd be the laughing stock if he doesn't come here. The damage with Jeff Garcia is already done. Buc's Training Camp starts today and Gracia is missing the first 3 days of camp to attend his fathers Junior College Reunion ( Yeah OK ). What a ****ing circus. Something should go down in the next 24 hours.

I'm so sick of all this Brett Favre talk. NFL Total Access on NFL Network is on "Favre watch" and I'm so over it. I'd like to hear about something different until something serious happens with this situation.

Anyway, the point of my tiny rant is this; **** Brett Favre.
