Yeah, 16 games, because the injury risk is higher. Not tough? Please. Every time a football player touches the field, non stop physical contact, especially the linemen. Every single play, someones hitting someone. 2-a-day, sometimes 3-a-day practices 5 days of the week? Seems tough to me. Just because they aren't constantly moving doesn't mean they aren't tough.

There's what, 15-20(if that) checks a game in hockey? There's 15-20 hits in a single drive in football

The injury risk is higher? Give me a break. Richard Zednik just recieved 300 stitches from being slashed in his throat.

Injuries in hockey happen just as much, if not more than in football.

Physical contact? Yeah, pushing and shoving is sure tough.

You have your hits in football mixed with pushing. There are far more hits than 15 in a hockey game. Not to mention, hockey players are traveling three times as fast. Rarely do you see a football player injured by a big hit.

Yeah, freak accident. On ESPN they said that's happened 3 times, ever.

Big hits don't hurt them as much? bs. You hear more news about NFL players getting hurt from big hits.

Don't get me wrong, they're both tough, but football is >

You hear more news about a player dancing too much on TV than a big hockey hit. Football gets a hundred times the media, which is why it gets more attention.

Why do you think there's a saying "Give blood, play hockey"?

It'd be rare to go to a hockey game and not see blood.

Big hits in hockey happen much more (as well as with MUCH more force) than in football.

There's blood in football, too. Damn near every game theres players with busted lips, noses, gashed arms, scuffed knees/elbows.

I guarantee:

Brian Dawkins running full speed for 15 yards will be a bigger impact than *tough hockey players name here* skating full speed for 10 feet.

Compare blood in hockey to football and you'll have a Niagra Falls for hockey and a dry creek bed for football.

This Dawkins character would not do near as much damage as an enforcer hitting you.

Hockey is much tougher. I'm surprised anyone would argue this, much more so that the sport they are arguing with is football, lol.

EDIT- I just Youtubed him and I can't believe you used him. Not only was most of the video him dancing, but only a few of the hits were big, yet none of the players hit were down for more than a split second; they all hopped right back up.

Ok, Ok, bad example. Youtbe Troy Polamalu, a look for a video called " Troy Polamalu is a thug, and a sh1t human being"

Show me a hockey hit better than that, and ill shut up.

(mind you, that's only one of MANY from Polamalu)

EDIT
Also, make it an open-rink hit. nfl players don't need a wall for theirs :)

This is too easy...

I'll reply with a very recent cheapshot, as that's what you posted.

Here's a perfectly clean hit that destroys Umberger.

Also, I love how the guy Polamalu hit is sprawled there, with his teammates looking on, yet both hockey teams come after the guy that hit their player.

First video isn't working, but the second was good. He doesn't have a facemask, so -points because his face took more impact. Bet he can't do that to a guy that's fully shielded.
Though, I do love how he's like a deer in headlights

And team mates don't attack like that because they'll get ejected

EDIT
Eh, first was noice. But, -points because the guy had NO idea he was coming, at least Polamalu's guy semi-prepared for the hit, and still got fuktup

The first video works perfectly fine, you just fail.

Just Youtube "Steve Downey destroys Dean McAmmond" to see it.

These are just a couple hits that were very recent.
