Can you name one played in the NHL who is playing for free or donating his check to a charity? I doubt it, people do what they do for income! Of all of the pro sports, the NHL is likely the one that will disappear first, since it is making next to no profits!
Now, back to the topic. The NFl plays out of market games to see where their fan bases are. I agree with Mobscene to the fact that it does suck to have no "Homefield advantage", but that is the preice you pay to try to open up to other markets!
As to Pan's comments on "things that are not broken should not be fixed". Do you realize that over the past 100 years, rules in all sports have changed in one way or another. Baseball has brought the outfield walls in to increase scores. The NBA added a shot clock to speed up the game. The same goes for the NFL. Without going into a long, drawn out post, rules are forever changing and so will locations! It is a matter of opening borders and improving the quality of the product. If things never change, they become dull and boring!
