The SEC isn't among the best, they ARE the best. Just about any college football expert on ESPN will agree. Only three of the twelve SEC teams didn't make a bowl this year. But I'm not just basing it from this year alone. Year after year, the SEC as a whole is the powerhouse of college football. Now when it comes to individual teams, you can make a legitimate argument that the best team in the nation isn't from the SEC every year. I'll agree with that, because USC isn't in the SEC. But when it comes to the conference as a whole, they're by far the best. You could take all of the middle ranked teams of the SEC, put them in just about any other conference, and they would be strong competitors for that conference championship every year. The north can claim their fair share of sports, but not football. Football belongs to the southeastern United States.

Wow dude, you're an idiot. So, everyone who thinks OSU isn't overrated is a "n00b" as you said? People have opinions, they're not overrated, until someone who is considered a god says they are, But that won't happen, because, it's an opinion. Umm, actually, I do. And it's an opinion. OSU is one of the best college football teams in the nation. Overrated is the complete opposite of what they actually are. So please, don't argue with me, if you don't what a fact or opinion is. Idiot.

If you want overrated just look at michigan and notre dame. Even though michigan won there bowl game they are still always overrated.

now you wanna talk overrated talk about Illinois. they had no right to be in the Rose Bowl. georgia or someone should have been there

New coach at Southern Miss
I go to the University of Southern Mississippi, and I'm really excited about our new coach, Larry Fedora. I know that we'll never be contending of the BCS championship, but I believe that our new coaching staff will give us a legitimate shot at contending for the C-USA championship year after year. Fedora was the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State, and he was awesome there. Southern Miss is about to return as a consistent top-25 team, like we used to be. I'm also excited about Brett Favre having a huge year, since he is our most famous alumni athlete.

I'm from illinois and i agree with you. Everyone around here was like wtf is illinois doing in the Rose Bowl. like just because they beat osu.
