I hope he still has Budweiser next season. I just couldn't imagine him without Bud.

So they're going to have 5 cars now? If so it won't last long because Nascar has told Roush Racing they would have to get rid of one of their 5 cars in 2009 or 2010. I would think the same would go for Hendrick now.

---EDIT---
Never mind, Jr's going to replace Kyle Busch in the 5 car. For Hendrick I think this is a tough move. Talent wise I think Busch is a way better driver and has a greater chance of winning. By signing Jr though, they get millions of dollars in sponsorships. Budweiser, Enterprise car rental, Navy, and Ritz and to name a few of those sponsors.

I also think Mears should stay in the 25. Him and his current crew chief are good friends and are starting to find success with great finishes recently.

Also, who will drive the 8 car? Busch will probably be available along with David Stremean who is in a contract year.

here it is more in depth:

NASCAR.COM - Earnhardt to join Hendrick Motorsports for '08 season - Jun 13, 2007

so all you Dale Jr fans who are Gordon haters, now you have to swallow whatever pride you had, since DJ is now a Hendrick boy.

hahaha! 3 of the biggest names in NASCAR on one team, sounds pretty awesome to me, being a long time Hendrick Motorsports fan.

its not exactly Allen Iverson coming to the Nuggets, but its good enough for me.

as for this:

So his number is going to be 6.7?

Carl Edwards wins the race at Michigan, his first for more than a year. Martin Truex looked like he was going to catch Carl but Truex bumped the wall with about 10 laps left and had to hang in for second.

What is unfortunate is that Brian Vickers, Toyota's best driver was caught up in a crash caused by two lapped cars. He was running 6th at the time and was looking very strong.

Going back to the Dale Jr Story. Jr says he want to keep the #8, that number is owned by DEI and his A-hole stepmother. What the teams should do is trade numbers. The #8 would be in the design like Jimme Johnson's #8 on his #48 car. While DEI would get the #5 which could be like the #5 in Paul Menard's #15 car. Things like this can be done very simply, it's all up to the team owners to get along and do what's best.

it would also save a lot of Dale jr. merch from going down the toilet all together if he at least kept the 8.

I've heard rumors of Budweiser not going with Dale to Hendrick. Hendrick has their big name sponsors, and they aren't sure if they have room for Bud. I think it would be crazy if he didn't drive the Bud car. Which would raise the value of my Dale Jr. merch.

BUD is going with Dale, I know this for a fact,

there is no way they will leave him, nor will Rick Hendrick not let him use it. Bud is Dale.
