Being an Angel fan I'm pissed that they didn't pick someone big up this year before the trade deadline... They said on Angels.com that they could win the division without another big bat.. we all know how that turned out.

So it appears that with the departure of Frank Thomas in Oakland, they need a new DH. There are numerous rumors that state Oakland is seeking to sign Barry Bonds.

Now, I really dislike the man, but imagine what he could do if he did not have to play the field. I could see some monster numbers coming out of Oakland if he stays healthy. It dause nauseate me to say that, but it is true. People are more than welcome to object, but if he is or isn't taking HGH, he is still a dominant hitter. I would not be surprised to see potential MVP numbers if he can stay healthy and only play DH!

MVP numbers? That MAY be a bit of a stretch. It might. Is it possible? Sure it is. Being able to play everyday would certainly increase his numbers simply because his plate appearances would increase. That isn't even taking into account how he feels.

Pre,

If you take a look at his numbers from last season you would see that he was in the running for MVP. The man had a crazy season. He hit around 275 with 40 round trippers and 120 RBI. If that batting average was 300, he would have gotten a ton more votes. Frank Thomas was as clutch as David Ortiz was. I am not trying to sing Frank's praises, but I am trying to shed some light on a VERY good pick up!
