Lesnar lost, but from what I've read, he seemed impressive. Here's what I read...

Quote:
Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir

They show Kurt Angle in the crowd with the caption "TNA World Champion" as well as The Undertaker and Steve Austin. I've never seen a guy as fit as Brock Lesnar at the 265lb weight limit.

Round 1: Half boos and half cheers from the crowd for Lesnar and we're underway. Lesnar immediately gets the takedown and we're in the center of the cage. Lesnar throwing big leather but the referee stops the fight saying Lesnar was landing big shots to the back of the head. Lesnar is penalized one point, which is odd because he didn't get a warning and it didn't look intentional. Restarted, Lesnar lands a hard shot which drops Mir and begins slamming down hammerfists. Mir almost hooked on an arm but Lesnar powers out and he's in a top dominate position. Lesnar stands over Mir and Mir uses the opportunity to lock up a leg out of nowhere from his back. Lesnar falls down to the ground and taps out immediately.

Winner: Frank Mir, submission (kneebar), Rd1

Seems to me like Lesnar's inexperience against Mir's experience was the deciding factor. I imagine Lesnar would have won if he wasn't up against such a great Brazilian jujitsu fighter.

Other results:
Tyson Grffin d. Gleison Tibau via unanimous decision (30-27 all judges)

Ricardo Almeida d. Rob Yundt via guillotine, round 1

Nate Marquardt d. Jeremy Hron via guillotine, round 2

Tim Boetsch d. David Heath via TKO strikes, round 1

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira d. Tim Sylvia via guillotine choke, round 3

Seems like Lesnar ruled the fight and Mir just got lucky.

EDIT

That's exactly how it happened. Lesnar gave him a nice pop on the jaw, Mir went down then Lesnar pounced on him, then made a rookie mistake.

Fight can be seen here

I don't watch ufc much but I'm starting to get into because of my roommates. It sounds like people are saying Lesnar got cheated, but what do I know. I couldn't have imagined Lesnar getting beaten by anyone though because I have met him three times at the gym I lift at and the guy is so massive and ungodly strong.

Very cool. Nice guy? Last I heard Brock was benching up near 500, but that was back in his WWE days. I wouldn't be surprised if he benches over 500 now.

I'd like to see Lesnar and Mir fight against after Brock has a couple more fights. But I'd really like to see him go up against Tim Sylvia.

I think Lesnar has a very bright future in the UFC. I saw the fight, it was very impressive for someone with so little experience.

Both Main events were good. Both Lesner and Silva were beating the wheels off of their opponents and some how got caught is submission. But that is the world of MMA.

Yeah he was a cool guy when I got to talk to him. It was right before he tried out for the Vikings so we talked about football which was about it. I saw him warming up with 225 pound dumbells to do shoulder press which scared the hell out of me because he made it look so easy. He looked a little leaner in his fight, but I would assume he benches well over 500.

I know a little bit about this stuff because my boyfriend watched it all the time. He loves Brock Lesnar (he's also a wrestling fan) and he was upset when he lost on Saturday night, but he is excited for his potential after seeing the beginning of the match.
