Huge game today at 12:30 p.m: Rangers vs. islanders. The Islanders trail the Rangers by two points, and will be coming out with a lot of effort in this one. As for the Rangers, they are holding on to the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. A win today will put some much needed distance from the Islanders, but not secure their playoff hopes as they have 3 other teams eyeing their spot.

Pens are beating Boston 3-0 right now in the 1st intermission. Crosby has a goal and assist, Gary Roberts adds a goal and 2 assists, his first 3 point game in 11 years and Malkin scored.

Crosby and Thorton are in a close race for the most points. It's going to be tight.

Rangers just won in overtime! 2-1 was the final score. Although it would have been better if they won the game in regulation, it was still a big win. Lundquist played amazing all game long and really bailed them out when the Islanders were threatening.

I think Crosby will win the points race, and he clearly deserves the MVP over Joe Thorton. Crosby has been putting up big numbers for the Penguins all year long, while Thorton has only just start to come around as the season comes to an end.

The Rangers penalty killing unit was just too much for us to handle...going 0 for our first 4 with no shots on goal during those power plays I believe. Kind of pathetic really...stupid Dipietro and his having to dive head first out by the blue line (resulting in a concussion) simply to ruin our momentum. I'd rather see the Islanders not make the playoffs than be the chairmen of the one and done club.

The Red Wings just beat the Ducks 1-0. Hasek was amazing and the Wings are tied with the Preds for first in the Western Conference. Nah and Det play each other really soon, tomorrow or the next day. I think the winner of that will determine who is first in the West come play off time.

However, the WIngs will face Nash, then Dallas. They will then take on the Jackets twice and the Blackhawks twice. If Detroit can win at least eighty percent of those games, I can bet they will take first.

Another big game tonight for the Rangers as they square off against the Montrea Canadians. It seems like the Rangers have to win out the rest of their regular season games in order to secure a playoff spot as Montreal only trails them by 3 points. Hopefully Lundquist and the defense keep up the great play, and the offense satys on track with the goals. The Rangers better stay out of the penalty box tonight as Montreal has the league's best Power Play Percentage.

Pens are playing the Capitals tonight. Crosby has 111 points and Thornton has 104.

The Rangers lost 6-4 tonight against Montreal. Everything I said the Rangers had to do in order to win, they did the opposite. Although I didn't see the game since I was at work, they gave up 2 power play goals, and 5 goals in the second place

In other news....Rick DiPietro sat out because he was exerienceing head aches, which is obviously a result of his concussion. This could be big trouble for the Islanders, as he is their key for a playoff spot.
