The Rangers just completed a 2-1 victory over the Lightening. Naslund scored the first goal of the game (his first as a Ranger) and Dubinsky scored the gamer winner on a power play.

Overall, I'm happy with the turn out of the game and their play. They still need to work on their power play, and need to minimize the amount of turn overs, but they are getting plenty of shots on net.

They'll play Tampa Bay tomorrow at the same time.

The Avs had a pretty good pre-season, I can't really complain. Of course I didn't get to watch any of the pre-season games 'cause I live in NY but I watch the highlights on the Avs site. All our rookies are looking good, and I'm stoked that Sakic signed another year and Foote a 2 year (I think). The Hawks smoked us last night, but whatever .

The 9th marks the regular season opener for the Avs against the Bruins. It's going to be nationally televised on VS so I can watch it.

The Rangers defeated the Lightening again today by a score of 2-1. Redden scored his first goal as a Ranger (PP) and Gomez scored the game winner. Lundquist didn't get a lot of work these past two games, but he looks sharp nonetheless.

The Red Wings open their season tomorrow night (Thursday) against the Maple Leafs. I can't wait for this game on Versus HD, first HD hockey game since I got my HDTV.

Sharks dominated the Ducks tonight in their season opener, 4-1.

Cheechoo got 2 goals, Blake got his first point as a Sharks (2 assists), Setoguchi scored, and Ehrhoff scored (for once in his career, he actually hit where he was aiming).

I was pretty impressed by tonight. Lookin' good so far.

Carolina opens up against Florida tonight. I really want to watch it, but it starts right before my highschool's homecoming game. It's supposed to rain tonight, so if it does, I'm staying home and watching the game.

The Rangers have their home opener tonight against Chicago. Unfortunately I'll be at work.

The Red Wings raised their Stanley Cup Banner last night, but fell to the Maple Leafs 3-2. Here's to them not repeating this year!! (Sorry Sparkplug )

Hooray to the Sharks' old coaching crew bringing them down!

Carolina won their Home Opener against Florida. Final 6-4. They looked good tonight, offense did terrific on getting some much needed goals. I don't know if Cam Ward just had some season opener jitters but he let four out of 33 shots go by which is rare on his part, so I'm going to call it an off night.

I'm happy to see that the Rangers defeated Chicago tonight by a score of 4-2.

A co-worker and I were discussing before the game how we both think Dubinsky (1 G 2 A in tonight's game) is going to have big year for the the Rangers. If he keeps up the solid play from the past three games, it's going to be a very productive season for him.
