All you need now is for Forsberg to re-sign. I would love to see him play an entire season injury-free and up to his potential. He's definitely one of the most exciting and dominant players to ever lace up the skates.

What the Avs situation regarding their goaltending? Is Theo an unrestricted free agent? I'm pretty sure they aren't going to give Budaj the number one spot just yet.

Amen to the first part of your post.

Theo is an unrestricted free agent. Earlier in the off-season he said that he wanted to re-sign with the Avs. Now he's saying that he wants to test the free agency. I don't really care what happens with Theo, he's alright, but not very consistent. I don't see why Boods can't get the starting job, he played decently well in the playoffs.

I would also like to see Foppa and Sakic resign, but what Avs fan wouldn't? I'm not such a big fan of re-signing Scott Parker, he's wasted salary cap on someone younger.

Theo just signed with the Caps.

The Avs also signed Darcy Tucker to a two year contract I believe.

Tampa Bay signed Olaf Kolzig, which I think will upgrade their goaltending, despite Kolzig being near the end of his career.

There have been reports saying that the Pittsburgh Penguins are interested in signing Jaromir Jagr. How Jagr's attitude fits in with the rest of the Penguins team is beyond me. All I know is once the Rangers rid themselves of Jagr I'll be one happy fan.

Actually he's now a member of the Devils. We also signed Bobby Holik and re-signed Jay Pandolfo & Bryce Salvador.

The Avs also just signed Andrew Raycroft. He'll be a nice compliment to Budaj.

The Rangers made some signings tonight, the biggest one being Wade Redden. They signed him to a six year deal worth about $39 million. He's a solid defensemen, although I think they overpaid just a bit.

And from what I hear you also might sign Shanahan.

Now if the Devils can only get Stevens, Danyko, Lemieux, Mclean, and Richer back we may also see the 80's christmas tree jerseys return too!

I must argue that Cylon. He's one of the best defencemen in the league right now. 6.5/year is a reasonable price to pay for a player like him.

I'm not to upset about Theo parting ways with the Avs, what I am upset about is losing Brunette. How in the hell did Granato not re-sign him? Brunette signed a 3 year deal with the Wild. Good luck Bruno, I'll miss seeing you in a burgundy jersey .

Also, why in the hell would we sign Andrew Raycroft? He only played 19 games in Toronto notching a record of 2-9-5, yeah great sign guys! . At least Darcy Tucker will be a nice addition to the physical play for the Avs.

The Blackhawks signed Brian Campbell to an 8 year deal worth $56.8 million. I can't believe that the Sharks let him go, but I think he'll be a nice addition to the Blackhawks.

COME BACK SAKIC AND FOPPA!!
