Damn straight. Detroit = Far too cocky going into the series. Now where are they? In Florida playing golf.

My Tampa Bay Lightning 5hit the bed.
Over 15 goals allowed in a playoff series is simply unacceptable.
John Grahmme has played his final game as a member of the Lightning.

$ilent hit the nail right on the head. The Detroit Red Wings were far too confident going into the playoffs. Edmonton is a great team who works hard, and deserves the series win. Detroit did not look like their old self in this series. I am personally glad Detroit got knocked out, opening the door to some exciting match-ups in the second round.
The Sharks absolutely dominated the Predators in that series, not really much to say hear. The Sharks are going to be a tough team to beat with an offense that they put up each and every game. Between Thorton, Cheechoo, Marleau, and their solid defense, the Sharks could be going deep into the playoffs.
The Flames and the Ducks have to finish their series, ther tied at 3 games a piece. I would like to see the Mighty Ducks take this series.
Colorado knocked off Dallas. I actually expected this. Colorado is a great playoff team, and always has a great core of players with playoff experience. And yes, that was a pretty nice hit on Modano.
Off to the Eastern Conference.....
Devils over the Rangers. My team got absolutely destroyed in this series. Broduer was amazing, and the Devils are just too hot right now. Jagr barely played in this series and is actually considering surgery in the off-season. I do not know what happened in this series for the Rangers, but they simply did not show up. I guess I am glad that they made the playoffs for the first time since 1997.
Ottawa knocked out Tampa Bay, not much surprise there. Like I said earlier, I really did not expect Tampa Bay to go far in this year's playoffs.
Carolina is leading Montreal 3-2 in the series. Montreal is putting up a good fight, and I would not be surprised if they come back and win this series over Caroline.
Buffalo and Philly series is a good one. buffalo is up 3-2 and I hope they knock out Philly. I think Buffalo is one of those teams that are under estimated by the other playoff teams. i think if they win this series, they definately have a shot to get to the Conference Finals and even the Stanley Cup Finals.

Damn right they dominated. Sharks always dominate the first round. The only team for the Sharks that will be tough to beat (if they play them) is Calgary. The Stars and the Avs are easy to beat for SJ since they did it last playoffs and all this season. I have a good feeling for the Sharks this year (they came so close last year, so why not try again?).
Sharks pwn!

I am also glad Detroit got elimated, I can't stand their cocky style of play.

I can't stand the Sharks, but they'll never win the cup.

I don't really care all that much about this series. Don't favor either team.
Colorado knocked off Dallas. I actually expected this. Colorado is a great playoff team, and always has a great core of players with playoff experience. And yes, that was a pretty nice hit on Modano.
If only the Avs still had Peter Forsberg (the best player to ever play hockey) and Patrick Roy (amazing goalie), they would be insane. Modano sure did get his *** laid out.

The Devils are on an amazing 15 game winning streak. Let's just hope they don't do what Detroit did.

I don't really care for those two series.

I'm hopeing Philly will get their act together. I only root for them because of Forsberg on the team, which would be nothing if it wasn't for him.

Well, there you have it. Go Avs, go Philly, and may the Sharks suck.

Anyone catch the Carolina and Montreal game last night? Such a beautiful goal from 58 feet out by Stillman in the opening minute of OT. Montreal timed a line change poorly and allowed him a clear shot on net. It was a thing of beauty.

Philly is out of the playoffs. They got routed by Buffalo last night, 7-1, which gave Buffalo a 4-2 series win!
