Sabres lost to Carolina 4-3. The Sabres scored with 2.6 seconds left, though. That would have been sweet if they had a chance to tie it.

Yea, I didn't really watch the game due to 24, but when I looked at the box score the game looked a lot closer. I thought it was all tied up, and Carolina scored late in the third, but I guess it was 4-2 going into the final minute of the third period correct?

Buffalo will boune back hopefully, and Edmonton and Anaheim play tonight I believe. A must win for Anaheim because we all know that a series is basically over when a team goes up 3-0.

i hope carolina comes out on top because they have work so hard they havnt had any luck in the past but really i can really care less because if edmonton wins this series i would like to see buffalo and carolina kick the living crap out of eachother in game 7 so they would be dead and unprepared for the next series

So you want the Eastern Conference teams to destroy eachother, beat each other up, have them unprepared for the Stanley Cup Finals (whoever advances), which will then result in one horrible Stanley Cup Final since the Eastern Conference will be "unprepared," and it will be a 4/5 gqame series?

Not much logic behind that one.

I would much rather have two healthy, well prepared teams battle it out, and have the series go down to a game 7 for the Stanley Cup Final.

Lol. I didnt think of it that way well if buffalo advances they will obviously kill either team from the western conference but carolina its another story i think both western teams will have a farely good chance agsainst them TMO.

I really don't Buffalo will crush the western conference team if they advance, considering they have a TON of injuries right now. They are not even playing to their full capacity, yet they are still winning. That's the thing I like about Buffalo. They are a true team. They do not have one star player that they rely on, and as you can see, when there is an injury, the other players step their game up. They are a dominate team righ tnow, and they are playing great hockey at a time when it counts. I just do not see them winning the Cup in 4 games if they advance (4-0 sweep is crushing the other team to me).

Carolina is just an amazing team and they are evenly matched up to Buffalo in many ways. I really do not see why they would not give the western conference team just as much trouble as Buffalo would if they advanced. Just my opinion on that topic, should be a great Stanley Cup Final, which will result in a team that has not won a Cup in a few years winning......

Anaheim and Edmontom play tonight. A must wn for Anheim otherwise they will go down 3-0. We all know that no sports team wants to go down that alley in the playoffs.

I thought Anaheim was going to get creamed 4-1. But Anaheim came back big time making it 5-4 (Oilers still won though). That would have been an amazing comeback if they did win. I'm not surprised that Anaheim is losing...but I have a feeling Edmonton will lose in the finals.

Yea that basically seals the deal for Edmonton. Only two teams in NHL playoff history have come back from being down 3-0.

I'm surprised at the dominance in the playoffs this year. There have been more 4-0, 4-1 series wins then I can imagine. Usually, most of the series are very close. This year it seems one team shows up and the other one doesn't. The Finals better be close though....

I'm loving how the Western Conference underdogs came out on top. And as usual in the East are the top (or close to it) teams. The Sabres & 'Canes series should be a close one, unlike the blowout that the Oilers are about to unleash.

I defiantly forgot that Edmonton is a number eight seed. I'm a little short of time, but I'll try and find out the last time a number eight seed made it to the Stanley Cup Finals.
