Hope the cubs do well this season, its gonna be tough with their pitching staff but you do have zambrano. Also dodgers vs cubs series coming up this month.

"At their prime"??? Well... Wood's prime has come and gone, and I'll agree with you there... they probably shoulda taded him when they had the chance. I'd be a much happier Cubs fan if they had let Dontrelle Willis have a start in the big leagues, but like you said... nobody owns a crystal ball.
It still makes me sick to my stomach that people around Chicago still feel the need to cling to those long past memories of Wood striking out 20 Astros in his major league debut.
Prior, on the other hand hasn't really reached his prime yet, as he's only been in the big leagues for three seasons now. So I gotta give my man Prior a "pass" on your statement (for the time being). Still time to redeem himself in my opinion... his rookie MLB stats are very tough to ignore. (18-6, for the record.)
And as for Zambrano, he's always been a favorite of mine in their organization... I might have been his jinx last year when I tried saying at the start of the season that he'd be Cy Young material, but his potential (like Prior's) is tough to ignore.
