Curt Schilling will have shoulder surgery. His season is officially over, and even his career.

I'm still in shock that the Cubs suffered their first three game losing streak this late in the season... if things don't improve in the game they're in right now against the White Sox, it could very well be a four game losing streak.
Well, at least the sweep was suffered at the hands of the Rays, who seem to be a much improved team from where they were a year ago... it would have been a tougher pill for me to swallow if the Cubs were swept by a team like the Mariners.

The Angels beat the Phillies 7-1 to start off the series tonight. The Angels got a total of 17 hits which is good to see since the entire batting order has struggled as of late. Ervin Santana got his ninth win of the year tonight.

Reds slowed down the Yankees behind another strong pitching performance from Edinson Volquez.
Reds called up Daryl Thompson to start against the Yankees on Saturday. Thompson started the season at AA. His combined stats from AAA and AA are 6-2 (3-0 in AAA), 2.22 ERA and 78 strikeouts against 18 walks.
On another note, Adam Dunn didn't accept the apology from Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi. Ricciardi pretty much attacked Dunn's passion.

No doubt... being able to see something like that on live television is almost as good as being right there at the game.
Especially watching the game in high definition... whoohoo!

The good thing is that you can switch over to Comcast right when that happens and hear the dead silence of Hawk and DJ or hear them make up a lame excuse, like that AJ persinski at bat, that should of been called a strike in the first place, I hate those guys soooooo much mainly, because of the "he gone" and the "you can put it on the booooooooard YES!" such smartasses. I'm so glad that the game is on both WGN and CSN. So I don't have to listen to those *******s.
EDIT: Wow, whatta game. I think that's the best inning the Cubs have had this season.
