Well, you're on pace to have your "manly wager" come through... after the 6-1 drubbing last night, I don't see any place on their schedule (Cubs) where their first win will come from.
Nobody seems that "lowly" when they play the cardiac Cubs.
I believe it is time to fire both Dusty Baker and (the ever incompetent) Larry Rothschild. The sooner, the better if you ask me. I've been calling for Baker's walking papers ever since the 2003 NLCS collapse... and sooner or later, this request will come to fruition.
"Bye, bye, Dusty Baker goodbye!"

The Yankee's Hidekei Matsui broke his left wrist last night, while diving for a ball during last night's game. He is estimated to e out about 3 months.
Seems to me that the Yankee's are off to another shakey start. Although they remain in second place in their division behind Boston, they have not "clicked" as a team. Their pitching staff has under achieved, and their "mighty and all powerful" offense seems to be non-existent this year. But they always seem to pull through and win the division at some point during the season. I'm not a Yankee fan, and it would be nice to see a postseason without them though

Ah, well the cubs lost another pathetic game today, unable to hold onto a win for maddux, with a 2 run lead in the 9th.
They were up 3-0 in the 8th, gave up a run there, followed by a 3 run homer in the 9th to end up losing it.
It's a shame, because I have been really hoping for a great year by maddux (who made some great plays today), and since he was about to get his 6th win today... it's disappointing.

It's still a long season, and he still is having a great season in terms of his performances. He just needs some run support, and his leads held by the bullpen. A couple of losses will not totally destroy him and his record.

Well he didnt get the loss, but I'm just saying it's a shame because he pitches another great game, allows no runs, and the Cubs actually score 3 runs for him (considering the hardly can score a run a game recently), and they are unable to hold the lead in the last inning.

Amen to this statement... Cubs = pathetic. It's tough for me to say it, but it's the truth nonetheless.

Basically what I said, and what I was trying to get across. It's not him that is at fault, it's the rest of the team. He needs some support from the rest of the team. It really is a shame when he pitches well and loses by only one or two runs due to the lack of run support given to him by the Cub's offense.

Once the Cubs get Lee back we should see a few more runs scored which can lead to some wins, but without him the Cubs just Suck.

What's wrong with the tacos? Why do people compare this to other stuff? Why makes it special? I haven't eat tacos for 3 years. I might try to eat again. It's good though.

Kerry Wood returns from the DL list for Cub's fans...only to give up 3 long balls. It was a 4-0 lead after just three innings, and obviously Wood looked rusty. Final score I believe was 5-3 Nationals.
Cubs fans just cannot catch a bit of luck this year.
It's his first start back, so you have to give him a break. Now if the whole season is like this for Wood, well.....
