And what would you consider sniping? laying in a bush all day waiting for someone to pass you by? If you look through a scope to try to hit a target, that is sniping. I believe its no matter what gun one uses. Whether it be an assault rifle or an OSOK rifle. If you look through a scope to hit a target, that is considered sniping. *cough wise a$$ cough*

Wanta know something funny? I consider neither sniping. I don't run around with a 4x zoom in blam jump zoom in blam...

I don't consider sitting in a bush all day sniping either.

I consider taking time, and moving stealthily to your objective, sticking to the perimeter of the map, covering advancing freindly sqauds advancment and clearing out areas sniping. Now if you say "What about supression, no main objectives, just kill everything." I don't always need a specific objective, intel will do, such what area is being mainly traveled through, where enemy positions are, etc. Telling me that info will help, I simply move into a position where i can get an open shot on the area, and watch it for a SHORT amount of time, not a whole game. If i see nothing I'll move on.

to me, quick scoping??well to me it takes skill and practice, but its just not sniping...dude the main aspect of a sniper is stealth. and you call running around with OSOKS and shooting people 5m away sniping? I don't sence any stealth there buddy ol' pal..

well, opinions are opinions though, there's no PROVEN fact that my type of sniping is "skillful" and there is no proven fact that quick scoping shouldn't be considering sniping.

Tactical stealth sniping IMO isn't easy though, obviously I either didn't explain it well enough, or you haven't ever tried it before.

And before you ask "Well have you ever tryed quick scoping?" I'll answer it ahead of time.

Yes, i have tried it, I definitly wasn't the best, I'm not gonna lie, I did pretty bad, but even if i did completely own with it, i wouldnt become a quick sniper, just not my thing.

Why is my way of sniping not consider sniping? I dont get it... So if i'm trying to be "stealthy" and wait for people to pass me, then it would be considered sniping? Once again, if you look through a scope to shoot a target, that is considered sniping. What else would you call that???

No i consider taking down enemies over 100m WITH A SNIPER RIFLE not any gun, sniping.

Oh and by the way stealth isn't letting people walk pass by you lol..
you know its not.

Its eliminating, evading, and escaping without being seen...

I (key word I) don't consider quick scoping because

a)NO STEALTH invovled
b)Your taking people out not even 80m away from you
c)Your jumping up and down shooting

also i didnt say it COULDN'T be considered sniping, i just i don't consider it sniping.

There's a fine line differance between fact and opinion my freind.

ahhh looks like i gotta get into this mess...well sniping for me is shooting through a scope. So i gotta go with Yamaha cuz he's just kika$$ like that.

Secondly your statement about 100m distance...is that the fine line you go about? is 99m not sniping?? There's too much gray area in that answer. We a definition, and that is seriously not an number.
