Can Someone Put Together A Real Tourney???

It gets so boring facing the same clans at GB all the time for competition, but in reality everything else out there is garbage in terms of ladders etc. I wish someone would put together an awesome tournament for once. There really hasn't been a decent one since socom 2 Eseals tourney for the world championship. Back in S1, clans had them all the time, like dark patriots clan and other ladder sites like sc.net would put one together and it would be awesome. Why the hell did that stop? I think we all need to go back to our roots and start doing this in terms of tourneys and the like. People just don't anymore and all we're left with is GB, ughhh. There is not even a decent ladder site alternative anymore. WTF happened to the socom community??? I wish we would all get back to where we began, when socom and the community actually did things like this and it wasn't a monopoly and our choices so limited. Ok I got off the soap box for now lol. But seriously someone should put together a real tourney and make me and the community happy lol. Just my $.02, and yes I know all that gets me is $.02. Have a nice day.

I saw you were intrested in the tournament I was putting together, it will be a big tournament only 16 teams right now because the site hosting it is rather small.

There will also be a ladder on that site in about 3-5 months :)

I guess you didn't know about the Socom 2 tourney from here, it was organized incredibly well, it's just that clans didn't show up. That really killed the atmosphere for a tourney, after Mike put so much time and effort into his tourney, and half the people didn't show, it doesn't seem worth it.

Tournys are a lot of work to put together. For one thing you have to set a time that is good for 16-32 people at one time. Not everyone can be on at a specific time with work, school, college, family plans, etc...

what about Socom Arena? They have an active ladder-alot more active than it was in S2-and they host various tournemants year round.

see-they have a pretty active bunch. The guy that runs it is a good guy. And it is a good ladder, but not without its faults-which all warring sites have-its that dam human elemant. But you might try them.

LOL preach it RAP! but yea, it would be nice if a real tourney would be set up like the e-seals one a while back. Kustom KIllers is setting one up now. By the looks of things, the tounrey is going pretty well with good organization and all. Hopefully it will turn out as good as promised. But like bob said, its hard work to put up a tourney and get everyone together at certain times. But for now have to deal with GB and kickin some tail there :
