Section: 1 Quick Sniping
One of the most asked questions on s3, this section will teach you the technique of quicksniping.
Section: 2 Proxy Sniping
This section trains the use of proxy sniping locations, where proning behind a small wall lets you see over but not be seen.

Section: 7 Advanced Sniping (Coming Soon)
This section is designed to teach advanced sniping techniques: hitting running targets, hitting quicksnipers, and hitting grenadiers.
Quick Sniping:
Quicksniping, love it or hate it, is an important technique for any good sniper (or player, for that matter) in SOCOM 3. Quicksniping is difficult to master and requires sniping skill. Quicksniping is the technique of jumping, scoping in mid air, and shooting before landing.
Before jumping, make sure your crosshair is near your target. The goal is to have as little movement in your scope as possible to move to your target. Ideally, as shown in the video, the scope requires little movement but to fall on the target and shoot when your shot is aligned.
In sniping battles of two or more quicksnipers, it can be more difficult to hit a target.
Proxy Sniping:
Not to be confused with proxy glitching, proxy sniping is a legit technique to prone behind a small wall and be able to see over it. In order to shoot, you must position your cursor, stand up quickly and shoot when the cursor is on your target.
once you find a target, you can not shoot; your gun will hit the wall. To shoot, you must quickly stand up, shoot and prone to avoid being shot. Notice the position of the crosshairs before and after standing - before you stand, you want to position your crosshairs slightly below your target, as they raise when you stand.
This technique is most commonly seen on Devil's Road, but there are many (mostly unknown) spots on other maps. You can see some of these spots listed below on "sniping locations."
Effective Leaning:
Many beginners and intermediates make the mistake when leaning of allowing their body to poke around the edge. If done correctly, only your gun, and possibly your head should only be the two main parts to peek out from behind the wall and your opponent will be forced to move or charge to hit you. What many players overlook is that your body does not need to be peeking out to shoot.
Although it may not seem like it, it is actually possible to stand, crouch, and prone with only your weapon appearing from around the wall's corners. It's been tested thoroughly that your bullets will not ricochet and/or directly hit the wall while firing. This method of leaning allows you to utilize the whole purpose of leaning - being harder to hit.
Section 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be brought forth to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
I do hope that some of this information will become of good use in the future, Thank you.

NO IT'S NOT! AAAH! I can qs you before you are in the peak of your jump and even near hitting me, and I don't jump at all. QSing isn't solely jumpsniping -_-
Well, maybe that's how it personally works for you Mr. OTTER. But, for many others this way works especially well too.
Nah... Quick sniping is sniping someone very quickly. Jumpsnipings cool and works... But the defination of quick sniping... is... sniping quickly. like, not in scope for long at all, and usually while moving.
If you lean around a corner and the guy you're shooting at can't see you...he can only see half of your gun or just your barrel, that's lean glitching.
And gregory is right, quicksniping is defined as exaclty that, sniping quickly. Jump sniping is just a certain 'category' of qsing. QSing isn't solely jumping and shooting in the air...
It can be indexing or just zooming in quickly w/o jumping at all..
It can be jumping, zooming, landing and then quickly shooting
It isn't defined as "jumping and shooting in the air", you make it seem so hard when it isn't, if you want people to read your guide, make it appeal to everybody, not just the "vets" or skilled people.
EDIT - Nice thing on "proxy" sniping though, I always love doing that. It looks so cool on the guy who you're killing's screen. You just see a head pop up then you get sniped =D. Why is it called proxy tho?
Ok otter you are correct on the quicksniping thing. Quick sniping is not JUST jumping and sniping. It is defined in its own term. Quick Snipe it is exactly that so when you want to define it, put that. Jumping and shooting is one technique of Quick Sniping.
What you stated about the leaning around corners is a glitch.
I think you put some time into it and it came out nice too but if you want this to be a serious Guide then put in ligit and correct info.
Correct me if I am wrong but Proxy means glitch in that you can go through things like. "Go proxy through that wall" or "Go the wall and proxy glitch through"
I agree quicksniping doesnt have to be jumping and shooting. Its just sniping poeple quickly, hence the name "quicksnipe"
Yeah proxying is a glitch.

What's wrong with the tacos? Why do people compare this to other stuff? Why makes it special? I haven't eat tacos for 3 years. I might try to eat again. It's good though.

So basically, you're promoting lean glitching. Well done.
