SOCOM 3 Armory Discussion/FAQs
<Full and in-depth weapons list already available>

*** MODS PLEASE READ: I remade this thread because my other one was locked for some reason. I understand there is already a weapons list and a guide, but neither get questions about the armory in game, asking for opinions from other players. This is a thread for discussion among SOCOM 3 players on comparing guns, choosing attachments, choosing secondary weapons, etc. Please mods, don't lock it up without giving it a chance. I spent a lot of time on it, atleast let people look through it and give their opinions. By the way, I have added things to this thread like explanations of secondary weapons (i.e. Mark 141 = Flashbang) as well as descriptions of the attachments. ***

It seems as though there are still people who have questions about the SOCOM 3 armory. I've seen questions saying "Which gun is better?" "What attachment is best?" "Which gun has the smallest barrel so I can stick it up my...?" and so on. A lot of the time, these threads get a few views but then are ignored and find themselves slowly working their way down the forum, disappearing into pages 2 and 3. This thread is for all you newbies out there who still have questions about the SOCOM 3 Armory, or even for more seasoned players who are curious to try new combinations and weapons. If you don't know which gun is better, the IW or the HK7, then post here (although I hope you would never ask that question). If you want to know which secondary weapons are the best to carry (i.e. M67, PMN mines, AT4, etc.) then post here. If you're not sure if you should have a Red Dot Scope with the Laser sight or the Laser Sight with a front grip, post here. If you have any general questions at all about the SOCOM 3 Armory, this is the place to go. Also, take a look at the attachment descriptions, as many people do not know the advantages of different attachments on the primary weapons. So stop making your own threads and start posting your questions about the SOCOM 3 Armory in this thread.

Here is a list of the entire SOCOM 3 Armory (the pupose of this list is to simply provide the armory so people do not have to sign on to find out what attachments and guns there are):

Since SOCOM 3.

Wait, they had it in SOCOM 2 as well, come to think of it. The M40A1 has been on both sides of the SOCOM armory since 1, 2, and 3. Correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, I think it is the best sniper rifle because of its stability when in scope mode. With the addition of a bipod it is rediculous in prone position. As soon as you scope in, it pretty much stops moving. The only downfall to it is that it takes 2 shots to kill someone if you don't hit them in the head, not a problem though if you are a good sniper (saying this does not mean I want to see 1,000 new posts in here about how good of a sniper you are, I was simply stating).

Weapons list at the top gives a little more information on the weapons in real life as well. The attachments however, are not explained on that page, so be sure to read the attachments list on this thread.

You got the terrorist sniper rifles wrong. They don't have the M40A1, but the do have the L96AW.
