Deadzone is how much it takes pushing your analog stick before the crosshairs begin moving.
I would give suggestions on where to set the deadzone, but there are too many playing styles out there.
Just go into controller options, and make the settings to whatever you like. Play with the presets first before you start customizing, just so you get an idea of what both ends of the spectrum is like.
