The Art of Advancing With "Artillery" Support
The point of this topic is how to create a small artillery team of sorts to help you advance on the enemy. This is geared more towards large suppression rooms (16 versus 16).

I will use Harvester Suppression Large (SEALs) as an example:

When the rounds starts it usually only takes about 30-45 seconds for the action to begin, due to the fact that the spawn points are relatively close to each other. The spawn points are also in 40mm range. You can designate a few team members to be "artillery" to aid in your advance.

Equip these members with GLs, and ensure that they have a full load of 40mm rounds. The primary purpose of these team members will be to create an advancing barrage that the rest of your team can follow behind. For example, the area behind the bridge by the SEAL spawn point 1 (by the river) is a well used hangout for terrorists at the beginning of a match. You can position your "artillery" members in a position where they can start lobbing long-range 40mm rounds into the area. If you have 4 members out of your team with GLs, that equates to 24 40mm rounds that you have at your disposal.

Ensure that the barrage is about 40-50 meters in front of your advancing team. This will give the opposing side almost no time to recover from the 40mm attacks.

This tactic takes alot of cooperation on the part of your team, but if done correctly, you should have no problem getting the "WTF!!!!!" type response from the opposing side when the round is over.

I always wanted to try a "Vimy Glide" type thing on Socom, but it would require a lot of coordination. Still, it would be spectacular to use it in a war.
