Guns w/ NO ATTACHMENTS
I have noticed a new trend (especially on this site).

People are starting to use guns (especially M-16) w/ NO attachments.

This dosn't make sense to me? Why would you want to hinder yourself?

For example: Why would you not want to attach a laser? It only makes your gun MORE accurate.

Or a scope, or a 203, or a silencer etc....

If you have the available space why not take advantage of it?

I have seen guys running around with just M-16, they have the space in their "total load" for some attachment. If you attach a scope to your gun, you don't have to use it. But why not have it just in case?

There could be a couple reasons. One would be to keep weight down if they like to move quickly. Also, if you played with a gun with no attachments for a while and got good at it, imagine how dominant you'll be once you do put some attachments on.

Yeah, I use M16 with no attachments. I like to be kinda diffrent from people, all the people I played with use HighScopes I like to use no attachments to be kind diffrent & move quickly.

I understand moving quickly.

But so long as your not RED in your total load; it dosen't matter how full the bar is, you still move at the same speed.

So if you have space in your "total load" bar, Why not use it?

To me, it's more of an added challenge.

I can go all day with a fully tricked out IW-80, and rack up alot of kills, but sometimes I'd rather purposely put myself in a disadvantage. I think that makes you a more skilled player.

Example: Spend a month practicing getting headshots with an M-40, then go back to using an M-87 ELR. You'll flat out ruin people.

Right now, I like using the M-16 and the M-8 (SEALs) or the AK-47 and RTK-74 (Terrorists) with no attachments. It's a great feeling when you get near the top of the team ladder at the end of a game, and you know that you did it with no attachemnts whatsoever.

I also like to leave my equipment slots blank.

Exactly. It's a great way to improve your game. If you can kill people in firefights w/o attachment, imagine wha will happen when you up your accuracy with a rifle laser and front grip.

I think I may try doing that.

Sounds like a good way to get real good.

I wouldn't do it in a clan war though.

Yea, i did what miller was talking about. I had used the m40a1, and gotten good head/chest shots, and found the weak spot for enemies. I didne use the 12x, or even medium. I used the low, and once you get good with that, and decide to take the extra magnification, you can be surprised as to how mutch better you get with it. I too use an m4 with no attachments. I thinks its easier to run faster, as to being weighted down and not being able to make a move on someone.

actually instead of the M40, i think the L96AW would be better to practice with, sence it has the option of high scope, which makes it more like the M87ELR, just weaker, and lighter.

I'm not calling anyone "noobs" but in my opinion if your a real socom sniper, instead of M87ELR's and M82A1A's you replace those with an M40A1 or L96AW, i like the L96AW because you need to concentrate and take time to aim your shot on the head, which is what snipers do, take time, take aim...one shot, one kill.

I love the M16 with nothing on it, personally I think it's better. But that's just me, could be different fro others.
