The other day I was playing a small map medley and found a nifty way to use the HK5 to my advantage. Most of the criticisms I've heard about the HK5 are in reference to to its somewhat low range and lack of stopping power. However depending on the map it may soon become your best friend. Blackwoods especially is a great map to try this. Even with a silencer and a rifle laser on it and you can still comfortably carry a few greandes. There are several lovely rocks to hide behind and plenty of cover so pick a spot and wait for the terroist to come. Even from medium range a headshot can usually take down your opponent. As well there are hundreds of bushes on this map you can hide in. This gun can also work well on waterworks. Climb up on one of the walkways and watch your opponents try to creep on your teamates and if they aren't too far away you can get some nice kills too. Hope these tips help, good hunting.
The HK5 is weak. It has no range and I dont like it at all. It probably has the worst range out of all the SMG's in the game. You have to be almost next to the guy in order to do some damage.

This thread was not supposed to be about the obvious flaws of the gun. The point I was trying to make was that the HK5 has some very appealing qualities (lightweight, accurate, decent range considering it's an smg, no idea what xcyclonx is talking about) and when used properly can be a very effective weapon. Why do people make these posts about the problems with the gun instead of how to get around them?
