what are your "laggy room" tactics?

Lag seems to be a bigger issue now than it was before the patch, and since it looks like it will be a fact of life now, like it was in S2, I was wondering how players are planning to deal with it.

For me, I will return to a tactic that I used in S2 when in a really laggy room. I equip a machine gun with a 100 round clip, and a 2x ammo, lightest pistol with no silencer, and nothing else. Then, I just go around hosing bullets everywhere.

It's not very effective, but it makes lots of noise and it's fun.

And it adds to the lag you should add. Not sure what rooms you are playing, but I have yet to experience any kind of lag like in socom 2. There is no lag in socom 3, so I really wont have to deal with it until I come accross it if I do. I really think it depends on the players connection really, not the room itself (unless its like boneyard, explosives small or something).

You make a good point there, and I suppose I should have also pointed out that S3 seems to be able to "catch up" to the lag after a while (which S2 did not). My point was that we do see laggy rooms, and I wondered what people are doing to make the best of it when they encounter one.

Yea, I see what your talking about. I think the only thing that people can do is either leave the room (which I might consider if it was really bad), or just do what you said. Grab the thing that carries the most ammo and hold the trigger down.

Yup.

Also, try looking for rooms with between 14 and 22 people. Once it gets up into the high 20s and the 30s, the lag starts getting really bad.

Have you been playing mostly respawn? All the respawn rooms seem to be laggy, whereas I havent run into it a single time in a ranked one (even with multiple friendlies and enemies firing auto in the area).

The worst rooms to lag are fault and cidadel small, its horrible. Up close with all them people, its pure chaos..not my style of fighting, i'm more of a scoper plan your shot kinda person...so when all them nades, frags, lagging, and f90s start happening I press leave game. :D

I read in another thread yesterday (I forget which one, but it may have been about the 552 specifically) that someone thought the 552 performed well in laggy rooms. I tried it last night, and it really does seem to have some good characteristics in bad rooms.

Anyone else notice this?
