I personally love to use the M14. Full Auto, Sniping capabilities, very powerful. What more could you want? It does have a lot of recoil, but that hasn't stopped me from getting kills with it. I also like to use it because I rarely see anyone else give it a try anymore. Same reason I use the M8. People complain it's too inaccurate, but it has a great fire rate, and isn't THAT inaccurate. Basically no one uses it.

Totally agree, its one of my favorite guns, behind the m16 of course.

I love it! The way I see it, it's just a really light copy of the IW, but a bit less accurate.
And it lost popularity because in S3 it was turned mortal. (unlike that war machine of a thing in S2, lol)
The M14 with high scope and rifle laser is now my second favourite sniper!

Yea and plus up close, you can turn it on full auto. I use the thermal scopes a lot. Because you can always see them first with that thing.

i've found that i can do fairly well with the M14. the other day i was playing on Killing Fields and almost totally owned with it, ending up with the 2nd highest number of total kills. about 30, iirc. i made the comment after the game was over and someone mentioned that there were a bunch of n00bs playing.

but i'm a n00b, so what does that mean? :?

I really dont like the M-14. I have used it a couple of times in ranked games, but other than that I just use it in respawns to snipe. Its not like in socom 2 haha...

I love the m14, its range is great, its accurate, and has a full auto mode, what else could you want, and it can use the all mighty thermal :D:D

I split time between the m-14 with the rifle laser & the m4a1 with the suppressor 2. They're my two favorite guns. :)

awesome, the only thing i don't like about the m4 is its lack of range when compaired to the m14, and the recoil is a lil worse. Its pros is its silence abilities.
