The L96 is terrible. It takes multiple shots, and cannot be silenced, so it is pointless.

What about L96 Shhnnnipppe!?~erg
No doubt it may be fun/funny to use... but it still sucks. -dion

The M87 and M82 are both much better, when it comes to just one shot kills. And if you are looking to stay silent, both the SASR and SR-25 take the same amount of shots as the L96 and can actually be silenced. The L96 is just a terrible gun.

Rifle Pros | Cons
Seals |
M87 One-shot one kill range (OSOK) | heavy, no stealth, heavy recoil
L96AW High range, light weight, light recoil| no osok no stealth
M40A1 Lightest rifle, light recoil | no osok no stealth, no high scope
SR-25 Light weight/recoil, stealthy | no osok

Terrorists
M82 OSOK | same as M82
L96AW Same as seals | Same as Seals
SASR Light weight/recoil, stealthy | no osok, limited scope variety

also if your out in the open (ex. a field) don't use any non-silenced weapon, it isn't worth it. Muzzle flash and noise will give you away. You have no idea how many times ive been on harvester small and got snipers cuz i saw their muzzle flash alone

Dont double post for the second time!~erg

Definitly the M82 because its a 1 hit 1 kill gun unless you get 2 with 1 bullet. Awesome quicksniping weapon and sound cool.

Silencer on the sasr or sr-25 with a med scope is one of the best but i find myself liking the 1 shot snipers with a high scope better

Thumbs up SnIpInG. . .
Start quick snipingits awsome but it takes practice. Anyways if you are going to camp use a sr-25 or SASR, because its silenced and the enemy has trouble finding you also if you miss you can shoot multiple times. if you are going to rush/ move around with a sniper use the M87 or M82 because one shot they are dead and they are just that good plus the M82 looks cool HaHa. . . L96 just blows as well just like the m40!

I personally only like to law to get warmed up. For long-short distances were you want a quick kill, the M87/M82 rigged with a medium scope. For short distance, camping teqniques, the SR/SASR is the way to go, I always use a low scope on these guns for the simple reason of no zoom and accuracy, also you can move it quick.

I love the sasr with the 12x. I stay zoomed out and when I see movement I zoom in for the kill with one tap instead of two. The split second it takes to zoom in closer with a medium or high scope can be all the difference.
