To Kill or Not To Kill...

Here's a question for everybody:

When negotiating your map during a game (it can be any map), you notice a few hostiles run right past you. There's a 50/50 chance you'll be able to take them down. Do you give up your position to try and engage them, or do you call it in to your team members?

The reason I ask this is because there are alot of "Kill Hungry" people out there who inadvertently put themselves (and possibly their team members) into a bad situation by trying to get an additional kill, versus just calling it in to their team members.

I try my best to be patient about engaging targets (Sometimes I get impatient just like the rest of us). I feel better at the end of a round if I have a score of 12 kills and no deaths, versus 24 kills and 10 deaths (plus I'm all about helping my team members, especially if it's my clan).

What do you guys/gals think?

I ussually call them out to my team and then engage. Alot of times if you call them out then engage a teamate will be around to help you. I have never been one to let someone go if I see them because there is always a chance that if you let the guy go then he may take out some of you teamates. "Shoot First Ask Questions Later" MRKILLA

Let me clarify real quick while I'm thinking about it.

The situation I'm talking about is when you see an enemy, but you are not quite sure if you can get the kill without giving away your position/team members postion. If the enemy is in a spot where I can take him out, the next thing you'll usually hear is "BANG" then "Tango Down".

I'm a believer of shoot first, and ask questions later, but I think there are certain situations that warrant holding your fire for just a little bit.

UGH
Just get out of the fuggin bush and play the game, noob.

Communication is key to teamwork. I'll always communicate to my team/clan mates where an enemy is, followed by a 'He's mine' if I decide I can get him.

M1KE, please explain to us all why you think being a sniper is being a noob?

Not that your opinion really even matters to me, but I'm sure there's alot of people on this forum dying to know.

Besides I don't like using bushes, I like to stay moving. I'm the type of sniper that will kill you 7 times, and each time it'll be from a different location.

Enlighten us with your wisdom, M!KE

it depends alittle. if theres on 1 or 2 evil doers then fire at will if you have a selinece weapen and your in a bush or some cover if theres any more than 2 raido in and let them past maybe follow them if you have a team mate ahead of the evil doers then you can sandwhich them in a cross fire

evildoers....that's the first time I've heard the opposing team referred to as evildoers. I'll have to use that next time I talk on the mic.

wow, evil doers! thats funny.

my team is a even bunch, its mostly run and gunners and a hand full of ( full time) sinpers, like myself.

If i see two guys run by ... ill call out their location and general direction they were going. if no one is near by...ill take the chance and follow and maybe take one of them out..but if not ...i let the run and gunners do their job...

it works for us...
