Out of the two, I would still take the M-16. I like the fact that it takes a little more skill to use properly. The IW-80 is perfect for all-out assault games (i.e. Fault).

Practice getting head-shots at long ranges with a 4x Scope or Medium Scope. Once you can do that with the M-16, you'll be surprised how well you do with it in CQB.

I like sniping snipers with an OSOK sniper. I have never had that much luck sniping with an M-16. I'll only use it when theres a lot of snipers that are well protected and the protecors need to be taken out as quickly aas possible.
I have to say, the m16 is a absolute monster and the best gun on the game in my opinion, it will work on any map. Its range is top notch far as assualt rifles, (only the m14 can match it), its accurate, very little recoil, and its customizable. Its the anti sniper and the anti CQC both in one.

True enough the M-16 is an amazing gun when used properly but it requires a lot of getting used to. And as every gun is "equal" it does have its flaws. There are times to use shotguns, times to use snipers, and times to use assault rifles. There is no one gun that works great in every situation despite some of the replies to this thread. Don't get me wrong I'm in no way insulting the M-16 but I do get sick of the way people believe it's the second coming of Christ in gun form.
