Tips to win specific game types.
In this guide, I will explain most, if not all, of SOCOM 3 onlines playable gametypes, and affective methods to winning, assuming your team is up to par.

Suppression

Terms of victory: Eliminate the enemy team or have more players alive when the round ends.

I will cover this first, as it is one of the most popular, and most even gametypes availible.
The main objective of a suppression mode is to completely eliminate the enemy team, or have more remaining players when the round ends.
I will start with the most simple method for winning a suppression game, get ahead and stay ahead. While many people will call you cheap, or n00b, take no heed, as you are playing the game as it is supposed to be played. The way you will go about doing this is softing enemy numbers using grenades and early choke point snipers. If you find your self in the lead after the first few battles, find safe places, and hold the other team, not only will you have the advantage becuase you will have suprise on your side, but he opposing team is FORCED to come attack you, unless they like losing.
The second, and more blunt method or supression victory is by destroying the opposing team. This can be accomplished with teamowork and skill, while it is the harder path to victory. To begin you will want to play the round as you would any other non camping based games. Sometimes you will want to do an all out rush to take the enemies by suprise. No matter what you do, numbers is key, by this I mean moving in groups. Think about the math behind this. If you are moving alone, and get killed, you team is one man behind and 1 man closer to losing. If your are moving in a group, extra fire power stops you from being killed in the first place, and, if a casultie is taken, a team mate will be there to even out the teams, as in one lose for both teams, rather than a lose for you and your team.
Those are pretty basic methods an rules behind winning suppression matches. Try them out for your self, and see if you like what you see when you rack up wins.

Demolition

Terms of victory: Eliminate the enemy team or destroy their base with a neutral and centrally placed satchel bomb.

Demolition, another fun, popular, and even game type. The basic behind this game is destroying the enemy base, or defeating the entire opposing team.
There are several methods for winning this game type, the bomb rush style, and the defeating the enemy style. I will start with planting the bomb, assuming your up to the challenge. What you are trying to accomplish is to get the satchel, which can be picked up be any player for any team, and plant it at the enemies base, and allowing it to detonate 30 hard seconds later. What you will want to begin with is to get to the satchel and secure it, fast. When the satchel is in the possesion or your team, you have just been put on offence, and the enemy on defence, use this to your advantage. I mean think about it, if you get the bomb, the enemy team will be obliged to return to their home base to gaurd it, beat them there. Upon doing so, all you have to do is get the bomb down, and camp it. Make sure you have smoke grenades to slow or completely stop the enemies ablilty to find and defuse the bomb, assuming they get through you. 30 seconds later, the bomb will detonate, and your team will rack up a victory.
The second method, defeating the enemy team completely is not the path I would chose. Why? If you chose to fight them, the round end in a draw, even if you have more players. A popular method, however, is to soften the enemy numbers, retreive the satchel, and finish the round with an easy bomb plant, assuming you out number them enough to walk in like the place is yours.

Convoy

Terms of victory: Eliminate the enemy team (of course) or retreive and extract cargo with loadable trucks, likewise, prevent this from happeing, SEALS will win if no convoys are safely extracted.

Convoy is one of my favorite game types becuase it is a vechicle based game type where the terrorist team is armed with many powerfull vehicles and the ytry to reach a load zone, pick up cargo, and extract it. Each team is different for this game type so I will provide main stratigies for each.
SEALS: The team with the advantage, make sure you are armed with a heavy weapon, explosives or a rocket to make this an easy victory.
What you will basically want to do is make sure the terrorist don't get any cargo, which is indicate by "load zone", in the first place. It takes a while to fully load a set of cargo, take this to your advantage, and waste to truck, and anyone in it, as it is pulling in to collect cargo. If you can hold down the load zones, the terrorist won't stand a chance.
TERRORISTS: You guys will have a tuff time with this one, unless you can work together and eliminate SEALS with pure skill and strategy. What you want to do is grab the light, fast vehicles, and rush the enemy, taking down as mucj as you can to make to convoys job easier. The will still be a tank, and two cargo trucks left. Use the tank to escort the cargo truck you think will undergo the most resistance. Send the other truck to the opposite load zone. Start loading at the same time and maybe you can confuse the SEALS. Once you reach the load zone hop out, press X on load cargo, and hide/protect the truck as it loads. When it is fully loaded, hop in and break for the drop zone, fast.

Thus, you can kill anyone in the truck as it pulls up and can then waste the truck with clip after clip of sniper rounds. Also, if you plan on camping near the load zone, do not be afraid to load up. If you are not moving much, pick up the machinegun and mines and rocket; you might move slow as hell but, if you do not have a long distance to cover, this will offer the maximum defense against the trucks. In addition, do not engage the other vehicles unless you must. Basically this is in order to keep yourself from getting killed.
Thanks Big Red

Contol Points

Terms of victory: Eliminate the enemy team, controll every nav point, or controll more points when time expires.

One of the best gametypes, in my opinion, control points is fun while staying even and having simple routes to victory.
For either team (since they are the same) you will want to do one thing: get those control points. A way I like to push my team into is rather simple, go for every control point as fast as you can and once you get it, dont let the enemy get it also. The only exception to this is if you get one the opposing team already has, if this is the case, book it, ans head for a different point.
Remember, for this game type, teamwork an communication is key. You have to know where your teammates are at, at all times. You don't want to have multiple guys racing for one point, unknowingly.

That is a runthrough of the often confusing terms of victory and paths to victory in them. This is not a one man ownage enhancing guide, but a way to get your team in order and accomplish the objective.

---As you probably noticed, I did not include Breach, Escort, or extraction, why? becuase there is a simple plan for each one. Camp, don't let the other plant their bomb, extract the hostages, etc. There is nothing special or mind boggling about these gametypes, all you need is the simplist SOCOM skill ever, defense.

---Thank you for reading my guide and I hope it helps some people (it has to help ssooommee one so I can be eligible for co-editor on the S3 guide staff)
