Devil's Road Gameplan
Devil's Road Gameplan
By: CraZy_MarKer

I play this map quite a bit and I love the tactics used for it, so I'm going to share them. It will consist of 2 pages: SEALs plans and Terrorist plans.

*NOTE: I am not finished with it yet. I will have it done by the end of today.*

EDIT- I won't be able to finish it by today, because I'm feeling like crap right now.

1. SEALs

Attacking

Sniping
Weapons of Choice
SR- 25 with Surpressor 1 and Low Scope
Mark 23 with Surpressor
M67 Frags

1. Cover the roads as much as possible with SR-25 SD's and M2 mines. The Terrorists love using their tank and will do everything they can to get it into the village areas.

2. Avoid from moving about in the cliffs and showing your position as the Terrorists will try to pick you off with their tank.

3. Try to keep your snipers down to about 5 people. Have one cover each village from the cliffs and and the rest watch the roads.

4. Use Spawn 2 to cover the North road to the village with an SR-25 SD or M87ELR. Hide behind the small rock and scope the road that leads to the Terrorists' spawn. More than likely, a vehicle will come that way, giving you a perfect head shot. Plus you can steal the vehicle afterwards and drive up behind any terrorists that took the South road.

Gunning
Weapons of Choice
M16A2 with Low Scope and Rifle Laser or M14 with Low Scope and Bipod
226
M67 Frags x2

1. It's important to have heavy weapons such as an AT4, M2 mines, M203s, and M60s. Vary the weapons to different teamates so not just one person has to carry the load.

2. On Convoy mode, have about 2 people watch each breach with an AT4, M2 mines, and possibly Claymores. When a Terrorist is breaching, they give themselves away as they plant the C4 charge. It is perfect for a broadside ambush.

3. If you're going to straight out rush, kep away from the roads, because if a Terrorist see's you while they're in a vehicle, they will try and run you over at first chance.

Driving
Vehicles of Choice
ALSV

1. Be mindful of M2 mines near the road that goes through the villages and follows the oasis. Terrorists love planting them there as soon as they spawn and the M8s are very well camouflaged against the sand.

2. The turrets on the ALSV and Humvee are perfect for covering key points. Try to hide the vehicle behind a rock and when you see a Terrorist(s) come to that point, jump into the vehicle and burst out in front of them with the turret blazing. This will catch them off-guard and allow you to take them out effectively.

3. Keep a sharp eye out along the cliff edges and in the grass around the oasis. Terrorists love hiding there and will take you out easily. So try to swerve a bit when going through here to give the snipers a hard time with following you for a clear shot. But make sure you don't side-swipe and of your teamates!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Defending

Sniping
Weapons of Choice
M87ELR with Low Scope
9mm

1. Villages are perfect places to hold as positions. Ude any ledges that are overlooking the positions to your advantage. It is perfect for picking off Terrorists when they pull up in vehicles. Also, try sniping the doors and entrances because in order for a Terrorist to take a position within a buidling, they have to go through a door.

2. Covering checkpoints with a sniper is a perfect defense. Take a checkpoint, and then have a sniper cover that spot from a safe distance. This will prevent any opposition.

3. Primarily when sniping, it's a good idea to be calling activity out. When you are attempting to stop a barrage of Terrorists, call it out and have someone help you. Don't try to take them out all by yourself as they will easliy overpower you with surpressing fire.

Gunning
Weapons of Choice
M4A1 with 4x Scope and Surpressor 2
9mm pistol
M2 mines, Claymores, or AT4 Heat

1. Keep your distance from the main village road at the top of the hill. Terrorists love throwing grenades up there and will try to pick you off from the oasis. Try to plant a Claymore behind a rock so when they come up the hill you can ambush them.

2. Heavy weapons and mines work perfectly. Use M2s on dark-sand roads and around corners. Use Claymores behind rocks and in the bushes (the mountain trails is perfect for these).

3. If you know that the Terrorists will be constantly using their tank, then use AT4s as much as possible. While only one round will not take it out, several will desimate it. Use high ground to your advantage (like the cliff edge above the South breach). Tanks can't shoot that high, so just lob grenades and AT4s at it. This will also prove effective against troops.

Driving
Vehicles of Choice
Humvee (when available)

1. Use the vehicles as a 'nonfixed' position. The vehicles body can prove as useful cover and the turret can easily clear out any Terrorists within 10 meters of it. The vehicles are perfect for covering checkpoints and when setting demo charges.

2. Always keep a weary eye out for an empty tank. If you see that it's empty, take it as soon as possible and use it to your advantage. Place it as a road block in front of Load Zones or breaches. The tank is more of a 'fixed' position than any ALSV or Humvee due to its armor and cannon.

3. Use the fast ALSVs to transport your teamates back to your spawns if it is under attack. Running there won't do any good. When you know that you won't make it in time, just burst in with the turret blazing and hopefully you will take out a feww Terrorists (and not SEALs).

2. Terrorists

Attacking

Sniping
Weapons of Choice
SASR with Surpressor 1 and Low Scope or M82A1 with Low Scope
DE.50 or Model 18

1. Use the village spawn to your advantage. Try and hide on the thatch roofs or in the cliffs above them.

2. The palm trees in the oasis provide excellent cover for snipers. Use these (and the bushes) and lie down and scope the incline on the road where it leads South. The SEALs spawn directly above that and love to peek out from behind the rock walls.

3. When a teamate is breaching an obstruction, try and lay down several meters behind him and watch the breach as it explodes for any SEALs trying to ambush you. Keep a sharp eye out on the small cliff edge above the South breach for any SEALs attempting to take our your vehicles.

Gunning
Weapons of Choice
M16A2 with Low Scope and Rifle laser
Model 18
M67 Frags

1. If you are rushing the SEALs' spawn, then use the mountain trails to get in 'undetected'. The village spawn is the closest to these trails. Although watch out for any SEALs that may have the same idea!

2. On Convoy, laying down surrpressing fire is key. Use powerful and accurate weapons (such as the M16 with a Low to Medium Scope) to take out incoming SEALs as they try to destroy the convoy trucks.

3.

Driving
Vehicles of Choice
Tank (forgot actual name)
Technical

1. The tank is virtually your lifesaver. Keep this vehicle ahead of all the other vehicles. Use the turret rather than C4 to breach obstructions more safely. Also use it to spray shells against the cliffs for any snipers or other SEALs.

2. The Technicals are a bit skeptical on this map. You can be easily sniped and they blow up easily. Try to keep away from open areas where M2 mines are most likely to be placed.

3. Use the turrets for covering key points. Try to hide the vehicle behind a rock and when you see a Terrorist(s) come to that point, jump into the vehicle and burst out in front of them with the turret blazing. This will catch them off-guard and allow you to take them out effectively.

Good thing you aren't finished. It would have been very embarassing to see "M8 Mines" everywhere instead of "M2 Mines" wouldn't it?

I'm glad you don't appreciate all my hard work I'm putting into this....on my own free time. I haven't see you come up with anything productive except for spam. Learn some manners and shut your mouth.

Well then use a Medium Scope if you have unlocked it. A 4x Scope is also a good alternative.
